All I know is that Dreamville was already at home with Interscope, but Cole was signed to RN specifically. On FHD he explained that he (and everyone on RN) and Sony were splitting because their contract ended. I remember reading before that that UMG would be RN's exclusive distributor after the deal with Columbia/SME ran out. I've never seen a physical copy of MCHG so I can't confirm which UMG subsidiary was listed as the distributor. But seeing as Cole owns the copyright to this one, maybe he's finally contractually a Dreamville artist. *Shrug*

The beat is from an old Joey Bada$$ track which in turn was from an old and free Freddie Joachim beat tape.

I don't think it was ever meant to be on the album. Just to get the public warmed up.

Hopefully, this will make a Kendrick/Cole or Cole/Kendrick (LOL) collaboration album a little easier now since they're both distributed by Interscope ! Keeping fingers crossed. If Method Man and Redman can do it, I know these two can !!! It will be epic and probably the best album by a duo in Hip-Hop history.
