I do agree with him on the school thing tho ( at least high school) but what he don't tell u is a kid that graduates from a inner city high school is still a step behind a kid that graduated from the suburbs.. usually has 2 go 2 a " catch up" class if they want 2 go 2 a university.. also idk one person who thinks going 2 school is " white" most people in the hood preach 2 go 2 school and graduate high school

my thing about what he said is this... the "out of wedlock pregnancies" and single parenting is a epidemic across the board not jus blacks.. I hate the fact that there is a show that shows blacks aint the only people killing " 1st 48" doing drugs " intervention" or having kids " teen mom/ 16 and pregnant" yet these are "our" stereotypes..

Of taking the critisism in stride and working on the problem we deflect it and blame Don Lemon for stating facts about our culture. The hip hop culture cultivates all of our stereotypes and brainwashes our kids into thinking being in school or getting a degree is for lames. Our athletes are tatted from head to toe and our youth follow not realizing that when your tatted like jr smith the only job you can get is as a janitor. These clowns out here buying versace outfits but take the bus and cant pay for child support.

Sagging your pants doesnt make you a bad person or a thug, but your appearance does affect how people will treat you. How can i take you seriously if you saggin, got dirty dreads fulled with lint, gold fronts, and one gucci hat that you wear everyday. Our women are just as bad, they allow these men with no future or plans to go in raw and nut in them and have his babies. They dont go for the educated ones, they go for thugs, and generally unsavory characters. Maybe if more of the women showed preference for men who are actually worthwhile it would encourage more of our young men to emmulate them instead of these fake goons and wannabee thugs. Don lemon just said out loud what everyone else already knows. Black people need to stop being all sensitive and recognize that there is a problem in our community when we try to emmulate chief keef and rick ross instead of people like Thurgood Marshall, Colin powell, or Barak Obama.

Its 2013, if we all sit around and complain about how bad white people treated us in the past, what would that accomplish. The war on drugs destroying black families rhetoric is a perfect example. Black women by percentage are going to college than any other ethnicity and gender, white males by percentage are going to school less than anyone else. Black men are even above them. They are the bigger population so that's why you still see more white males on college campuses, but white women are taking more advantage of affirmative action than any race.
