Just because greatness isn't witnessed at the time of its release most ppl say no. Go back and listen and I bet u can't find 3 songs on their that's wack, plus his rhymes were so intricate and technical. Hov is like D.Wade from the 04 draft, Bron & Melo got the press but Wade won a ring in those first 3 years. Jay was the underdog like Wade that eventually ended up being the champ.

Reasonable Doubt=Classic

They dont have to be wack to not like the song. I dont like "Aint No Nigga", "Cashmere Thoughts" or "Can I Live II" they get skipped almost every time I play it.

Suprised the votes are this close, I thought RD was an undisputed classic, this is the ic tho, where nothing is sacred lol

reasonable only sold better cuz jay was known as Biggie's lil flunkie...livin off da GOAT.

the streets immediately embraced NAS and BIG debut while jay came out as a better version of lil cease........aka a BIG disciple. ... best thing ever happen to sean carter was Suge knight taking out the GOAT so that he would have a lane to fill.

The IC where Reasonable Doubt is not a classic and Nas is still relevant

Nas dropped 2nd best album of da year, Jay still doing the same thing he always does, livin off other ppl shine.....waiting for Kanye to give him another throne album.

Jay's the G.O.A.T. but Ain't No Nigga is his top 5 worst song of all time.

why do ya'll say that..

"Time 2 kill it on your belly.... more black chicks between my sheets than the Essence/"

"They say sex is a weapon, so when i shoot, meet ya death in less than 8 seconds/ still strokin in my afterlife, laughin like my thang is tight/"

anyway RD is my favorite album of all time..I guess it's my background of my own life is reflected in the music... the emotions in this album is so accurate and precise that you have to appreciate if you've come from a hustla's past..

IMO this is an undeniable classic.. and he even took his stand in the East vs West conflict that Prodigy always sayin he didnt...On Brooklyn's Finest, 22 2's, and even in the dead presidents video playin monoply when Biggs say "what's that california? it's a lot of money out there, ima take all of it" then Biggie rolls da dice and says "Who Shot Ya" lol

The song suffers from 3 counts, Foxy, Jaz and the hook.

LOL this dumb fucks logic about Reasonable Doubt only selling because of Biggie, then why was Dead Presidents the biggest single off the album and NOT BROOKLYN'S FINEST.

Second, how in the fuck would you know who the streets embrace. If it took Biggie a year to sell 3 million albums and Nas 1 year to sell gold, doesn't sound like the so call streets embraced Nausea-r too much does it.

OK so Jay-z benefited from Biggies death right, then why didn't Nas bum ass, Method Man, Raekwon, Redman, etc jump on the opportunity then. At that stage of there career they were bigger acts than Jay-z. What are you saying them niggas didn't have the strength to carry the torch?

Nas dropped the second best album that his dusty ass fanbase didn't even support, how is Destiny and Kelis suppose to eat. smh

I hate to burst your bubble, Jay-z last solo album sold 2 million coppies domestically, Kanye's last album sold 1.2 mil copies domestically. BP3 is also Jay-z biggest album ever, WHO IS CARRYING WHO AGAIN?

You should be worried about your boy recouping Def Jam's and the IRS money. lol
