Main reasons:

-No one EVER talks lyrics with this album, just 'great production". Or 'this is hip hop art'. Ummm, ok, so Its a sonic motion picture. This is RAP, no? The lyrics bring it back down to earth. And not just bc he's Kanye, bc he came wit it lyrically on Dropout (bodied Jay on Never Let Me Down) and to a lesser extent LR

-No Soul. He put his foot in Blame Game. Devil in A new dress Ehhh beat carries,it but he came wit it, too. Other than that...where's the Hey Mama, Roses, Family Business, Jesus Walks.

-classic albums are made from classic songs. Im sorry, buy what are the classic songs on here?

I can see not agreeing with this album being a classic, but you gon sit here and tell me CD or LR ain't classics, fammo? They impacted the game -- especially his first joint. You felt the tide in hip-hop turning when they were dropped. I'm pretty sure that's what we consider "classic" in the genre.

I don't know if you fuck with any of the newer artists, (Drake, Cole, Wale, Dot, Logic, Cudi, etc.) but that whole little subsidiary wouldn't exist if it weren't for Ye and at least CD.

So this isn't a classic but GRODT is?
