No disrespect to the selection process, but there are albums in the vault that are below the level of this album. I don't blame @Stew for that. I blame the mothafuckas voting.

2Pac is the Greatest Of All Time and everything that he touched became an instant classic.

No this aint no classic.Pac only classic album is 7 day theory then thug life vol 1 is a real good project

This my song tho

Niggas callin pac the goat when he kickin off verses sayin "goody goody gum drops" and " I go cuckoo for coco puffs oooh weeeee" Foh

I haven't played this shit in years. Very forgettable album minus the same 5 tracks everyone has already brought up.

Pac has Me Against The World and All Eyez on Me for Classics.

Makaveli is debatable.

People stay overrating the fuck outta his catalog. I didn't even know people were considering this a Classic... SMH.

Yes this album is a classic. You niggas werent around in 93. Everybody was bumping this album. White folks were dissmissive to the black angst after the riots. Gangbanging was everywhere niggas getting killed left and right. the concept of racial profiling was new to mainstream and widespread like it was somekind of joke. America was barely getting out of a recession in 1992. This isnt medallions and protest music like some of the pro black stuff was at the time. Pac was angry as fuck on this album. Guerilla music. On every song he was telling niggas to rise up and tear up shit, destroy the establishment. and it wasnt no nigga just shouting dryly over a megaphone trying to stir up trouble. Pac was really out there like that during this era. This album scared america. before eminem made whiteboys kill themselves and set fires with his lyrics in 1993 Pac was the scapegoat for any violent crime. A couple of people killed others and blamed pacs lyrics from this album. senators denounced this album after pac smoked them cops. congress men used to print of his lyrics on posterboard and recite the words slowly claiming pac was trying to incite violence. the government tried to get interscope to remove this album off the shelf and some retailers didnt want to sell the album.

Plenty of rappers were spitting goofy shit in the early 90s because it was a different era, where certain phrases were acceptable back then. Every single legend has a suspect verse or two in their catalog.

This album was a fucking after thought in 1993

This is only remembered for the 2 singles that came from it.

Niggas ain't even know him as 2pac in 1993. They was still calling him bishop from juice.

Ask any nigga in 1993 was they copping that new Tupac album. Niggas would looked at you like you was crazy.

Tupac in 1993. Lmao. Gtfoh

Nah all jokes aside though. This shit was trash.

All truth right here, I was 20 in 1993 and people act like he was all over the place before the controversy, he was cool but not on the level people put him on. It was to much dope shit out to focus on one cat or group unless you had tunnel vision and boxed yourself in

Kinda disagree.

'Keep Your Head Up' literally transformed him into the favorite artist of every black female breathing back then. He was already on bitches radar because of 'Brendas Got A Baby'. Most hood niggas were already fuckin with him because of '2Pacalypse Now'. I remember every damn vehicle with a kickerbox in the trunk riding around bumping 'Soulja's Story' and 'Violent'. When Strickly 4 My NIGGAZ dropped, it was simply an extension of his legendary status.

Niggas couldn't name a Pac joint till after the cop situation and the numerous jail stints. Before that niggas couldn't name a two songs Pac done. I fuck with Pac but dude is the epitome of controversy sells

Pac aint bad by any means. His catalog is amazing. He should atleast be in every people top 15.

IMO his flow was quite new school and kinda ahead of its time, at times...

All dope songs from the album that I play regularly...

I Get Around

Keep Your Head Up

Souljah Revenge

Papaz Song

Holler If Ya Hear Me

Point The Finga

The Streetz R Death Row

Peep Game

Representing 93

5 Deadly Venomz

I get it if niqqaz don't like the album, but to call it trash is bit harsh..

Obviously most of y'all weren't teens in the 90s. It's cool tho..

Pac was already notorious bad ass and outspoken rebel in 93. He whooped ass on set of menace. Made MJ sister start dating black men again. Cop incident. This album was 1st real commercial success for pac. I get around spring break 93 anthem and classic MTV performance with DU. Keep ya head up got positive reviews from major music publications and bootleg t shirt of summer 1993. Holla if ya hear me was popular track of NBA all-star weekend 93. Biggie slept on his couch in 93. Album gold by fall of 93.
