If you don't see that, you just have your head in the sand.

But it is a revelation, maybe not to people like you who lived through the really bad times, but a lot of people outside the city never realized how bad it was there. And again, just because it's better that it was, doesn't mean it's good, so this argument that the media is just sensationalizing things is BS. All the big cities have been big decreases in homicides, but Chicago still lags behind most of those other cities. If you cared about your city, you wouldn't be trying to dismiss the problem that represents.

Its a combination of so many things. The drug cartels love Chicago tho. The city is almost in the center of the country and a couple days drive to the East Coast. The city is being pumped with drugs from Mexico and pumped with guns from other states. Chicago is literally surrounded by states with lax gun laws. If you a gun dealer in Chicago you are making mad bread. So you can straw purchase guns in Missouri and sell them in Chicago. There is mass corruption in the city. Wouldn't be surprised if the drug cartels has bribed city officials.
