CD's Are The New Tape Cassettes

They shouldn't have never gave me a portable hard drive and the ability to download. I have tape collections and I have had CD collections and BOTH THEM BITCHES GOT STOLEN!!!!! With digital i can put my 50+ GB of music in my back pocket. The next deck ill get in my truck will be a digital music player.......With that being said I don't hate on anybody that buys CD's but my experience is personal and besides its more convient.

Fact: Digital music is less of a burden than cds.

Fact: You can literally have access to digital music everywhere you go, not so with cds.

Fact: Regardless of how careful you are shit can happen to damage a cd. Not so easy with digital music.

Fact: Digital music is often cheaper than cds.

What are the advantages of cds? Nostalgia? Better sound? Well the first isn't an advantage, it's just being an emotional nigga. The second is debatable and probably of minimal concern especially if you DL high quality formats.

Yeah, that's what mine is. My CD collection is my pride and joy.

In terms of CDs vs Digital, for me, there is something very therapeutic and relaxing about going to a CD store or even Amazon and browsing different albums. Looking at the reviews or asking a record store clerk for recommendations is a unique facet of album buying. Plus, if you just go online and download an album, it's just not held to be worth as much in your mind because you think so little about just d/ling something for free. When you buy something, you actually care a little bit and music is worth that extra time and money and care, at least to me it is.

I personally feel owning a CD of an artiste I'm a fan of or I like is a bond/connection between me and the artiste; we know everything about them but they don't know nothing about us

I'd find it highly disrespectful to buy a digital album of say a Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder or Fela Kuti over a physical one . ..

I got a zenith all in one 8-track player, record player, cassette player radio... with original wood grain floor speakers.

i got my whole collection on my flash drive,and on my portable hard drive and also uploaded my whole collection on the google music cloud they let you upload 20,000 tracks for free

I think tapes might be worth more than Cds to. I copped my AEOM tape for almost 30$
