I would like to clarify a comment that was reported when I was doing an interview for some upcoming shows in Australia & New Zealand. My intent was to congratulate Adele on her amazing night at the Grammies. My comment about Beyonce was regretfully taken out of context. I have the utmost respect for her as an artist and a person. She deserves all the accolades that come her way. I wish Beyonce and her family all the best.

I'm not quite sure why anyone would disagree with Carlos. What he said, isn't a shot a Beyonce if you are an objective listener. Can Beyonce sing? Yes. Can Rihanna sing? Yes. But they aren't singers in the context that Carlos was attempting to convey. Modern day singers are artists like Jill Scott, Ledisi, Bilal, and Keke Wyatt.

But whatever the case foh with an Adele. I don't mess with white artists to tough anyways if, at all. There's just too many amazing Black artists across all genres of music for me to have to.

There's artistic profit. But I agree with you. I don't think it's her though. I think it's her pop fan base that wouldn't go for it in addition to her pop team of handlers.

That's because, you don't know music. I recall Prince saying after having worked with Beyonce he was pleased with her knowledge of musical scales. Particularly, mixolydian and Egyptian styles. Which, translates to her having used her voice to explore various notes and octaves. Badu isn't the strongest vocalist either. However, her style, song writing and ability to use her voice in unique ways is what gives the organic earthy feel you mentioned. Working with such artists Beyonce could explore some of the same methods of producing that style of music. Again, she is that talented.

If Beyoncé were to go on that Earthy shit with the likes of Saadiq, ?uestlove, Q-Tip, Karriem Riggins etc which I think she can she'll still go plat! She's made a brand for herself already... she did a couple of songs like that on her self titled album.
