This is true. In an interview, Quick thought Andre said something about him. He quickly apologized.

Slick Rick?

Nope, KRS-ONE and Slick Rick went back and forth.

KRS: "Steady packin' a gat as if something is gonna happen but it doesn't,

they wind up shootin' their cousin, they buggin" (Step Into A World)

Slick Rick went to jail for shooting his cousin who he thought set him up to get robbed

Slick Rick fired back with the Funk Flex freestyle where he said "Big nosed rappers suck sperm out of Rick's dick" (woah, pause... no homo... no homo...LOL) and "son, this nigga is a bum, and this old man he plays ONE"

Surprisingly, KRS didn't come back for that neck like I thought he would but he might have thrown subliminals at Slick Rick with "Outta Here" when he sampled Slick Rick saying "Boogie Down was performing, hey they ain't no joke" for his chorus from a song where KRS is talking about all the old school cats who fell off (like Slick Rick)

did they eventually settle their beef? not sure...

Interestingly, Rahzel who used to be in the group the Roots did a lot of solo work with Slick Rick including being his "beatbox" for several infamous Slick Rick freestyles

Maybe a coincidence but the Roots latest album was called "...And then you shoot your cousin"

LOL... shit comes around full circle

I remember those krs1 lyrics & the Slick Rick situation where he shot his cousin, but I never thought that was a jab at rick....but if rick kicked that freestyle like u say he did, then I guess its true.

*As soon as I heard the title for that Roots album, I immediately thought of the krs1 lyric. ...matter of fact, when a thread was created on here anticipating that album, I dropped a post stating that that's a krs1 lyric

i dont think that was calling either of them out...I think that was just wordplay.

*talib had jay on the just to get by remix, and im sure ive heard common say he's a fan of jay

Tim Dog slighty dissed him, "Ren your cool but your rhymes cant lay against the d.o.g.....Step to me!"

*then when he was on yo mtv raps, when he introduced NWA's " Appetite For Destruction" video, he said "here's a video by 4 lil boys that are wearing suits that are too big for them...but watch it anyways"....that was kinda funny, I still watch that on youtube every now and then.

Meth and red

Red had a long running beef with Mobb Deep and Hammer dissed him too.

I guess you can say Joe Budden dissed meth, but not on record.

Also him and Parrish Smith from EMC went against it for a little bit.
