now we really know who has never played a down. OL grab inside of the pads EVERY DOWN. like the other guy said once its outside the pads or used to obstruct then its holding.

http://football.about.com/cs/football101/g/gl_offensivehol.htm

Definition: A foul in which an offensive player keeps a defender from advancing by grasping him with his hands or arms. Offensive linemen are allowed to use their hands as long as they keep them to the inside of a defenders body, but if they get to the outside of the defender's body, it is a penalty.

http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/2011_Rule_Book.pdf

LEGAL BLOCK BY OFFENSIVE PLAYER
Article 3 An offensive player is permitted to block an opponent by contacting him with his head, shoulders,
hands, and/or outer surface of the forearm, or with any other part of his body.
A blocker may use his arms, or open or closed hands, to contact an opponent on or outside the opponent’s
frame (the body of an opponent below the neck that is presented to the blocker). If a blocker’s arms or
hands are outside an opponent’s frame, it is a foul if the blocker materially restricts him. The blocker
immediately must work to bring his hands inside the opponent’s frame, and as the play develops, the
blocker is permitted to work for and maintain his position against an opponent, provided that he does not
illegally clip or illegally push from behind.

now where in the bolded that you posted does it say its ok to grab a defender??? LOL

what you are referring to is when ol grab the inner shoulder pads around the chest area. the technicality of that is that the refs cant see it .... its a technicality that doesnt make it legal. the same way you constantly see nba players travel but refs dont call it because it has no overwhelming effect on that particular situation, such as when a player receives an inbounds pass at half court and calls a play etc. TECHNICALLY he cant lift his pivot foot before he dribbles the ball, but no ref is gonna call it because its not like he's posting up down low in scoring position

you just proved your own self wrong LOL. ive played and now i coach. i teach these things young man. IM an offesive coordinator LOL!!! its a technicality because refs dont call it unless it ends up hurting the defense. in suh's case he was pulled down NOT blocked to the ground. the refs didnt call it because suh wasnt near the play. suh's arguement is that he could have gotten to the play had that not happened ... just log off ... your sensitive as fuck. hence your only involvement in sports in the present is posting in cheap seats. while ppl like me are out here LIVING this shit LOL

If he was real, he would have admitted that he stomped him on purpose. I think mushiig that linemans head into the ground was g enough. That "stomp" wasn't worth it.

1st all. Who is sensitive? You the one up in arms talking about who played what and who would have trucked who. Thats apparently a touchy subject for you as you keep bringing it up. Sit down somewhere.. you over here still living out high school memories, if that. Obviously, you're sensitive about all this as you keep coming back to it after supposedly being "done" twice. I'm stating my thoughts on this shit and have no fucks left on it.. never did. Yall niggas need to stop with this 'u mad' shit every time someone doesnt agree with you.

NEXT... the fact remains an offensive player CAN grab the pads INSIDE a defender's frame and no ref is going to call it holding. If you claim to coach whatever you claim to coach, then you know this to be true. Its taught by all OL coaches. Which is what I've said all along so how is it proving myself wrong. How many times have you coached someone to step on another player since its all good?

Suh was also NOT pulled down. Look at the play he got put to his knees and then flipped out. You are only looking at the final position on the ground. How was he pulled to the ground and the guy was standing over him when Suh was on his knees? He got blocked and taken out of position, then went to his knees, proceeded to act like a tough guy, and wanted to tussle some more so they both went to the ground.

You and major stain, are dumb/dishonest fuccs. At no point, no where, on no uniform, can a blocking player close his hand in a grabbing motion

Yes you can, because that's how the game is officiated. If the DL is tryna run through you, you can grab the chest part of the shoulder pads to help you drive him back. Especially on interior linemen. But once he starts movin laterally, and you're gripping it to stop him from moving side-to-side you'll get called for holding.

Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh called commissioner Roger Goodell on Sunday night to apologize for his behavior during Detroit's Thanksgiving loss to Green Bay, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

welp....

Dunno why Lions fans are defendin this at all. Ya'll are a borderline playoff team, and now you just lost your best DL. Should be pissed that he just made ur road to the playoffs that much harder. Suh's a poor sport. Lost to the Bears, did grimey shit. Lost to the Falcons, did grimey shit. Lost to the Packers, did grimey shit. Only loss he didn't do anything in was the 49ers game, but they weren't losin til the very end of the game.

Well, if the refs decide they want to let White players break the rules, to impede Black players, then Suh needs to complain about that specifically--------since that's what keeps happening, to him.

...and say fucc all bytchNIGGs who are okay with refs allowing crakkkas to cheat/in order to compete.

haha, not just white linemen. All of em. They let them grab the chest part of shoulder pads. Shit, that's how they tell you to block people.
