Racism is a social perspective and ideology. Whether you act on your racism or benefit from it is inconsequential to you actually being racist.

Black people collectively have no power, saying the obvious doesn't make anyone, based on what you said you sound like you're on some "what about black on black crime" shit. When have black people in America ever systematically oppressed anyone? Black people don't have the systemic power to act on our prejudice like white people can.

You don't believe systematic oppression is the ONLY applicable form of racism, do you?

In 2015, Chicago had the opportunity to vote their extremely conservative Democratic mayor out of office. The runner up was a Latino independent named Chewy Garcia. Literally the reason he didnt win? Because a majority of black voters didn't want "Mexicans to take over the city and take resources away from Blacks". So they effectively chose a white Jew over a Latino because of race.

Don't tell me black people can't be racist.

Yes being able to act on ones prejudice on a systemic level is the applicable form of racism. When has black people ever systemically held any groups back in the US?

And that example you gave (taking it at face value) was an example of black prejudice. Because black people cant systemically hold back Mexicans like the whites, Jews or Asians can.

The problem is that people conflate two different terms: "racism" and "systemic racism". One is personal and one is, as its name suggests, bigger and has to do with power in a society.
