Camden has only 70k in population and is more dangerous per capita then any of these big cities. they also recently got rid of the police because of budget issues. 61 murders in a 10 mile square city

I got curious and started Googling images as well and Camden looks like a real shit hole.

I've been in some shit holes being where Im from so me saying that about somewhere else takes a lot but Camden fits the bill.

Looks like nothing but dilapidated abandoned buildings, graffiti filled structures, and empty lots.

Shit looks like an open air market for street corner drug dealers, prostitution, and drug addicts.

I'm from Newark and met allot of dudes from Camden when I was in prison.. I got some family in North Camden which is the grimiest part.. I been to Chicago, Philly and Detroit.. I been to Compton, Watts and St Louise and I have yet to see a more disgusting place then Camden.. The people never smile. The air quality is so poor that its stunts the growth of some children. The murder rate is astronomical for a city that size. Home invasions resulting in rape and robbery are the new trend out there.. It's sick.

it's always the smaller places that are really fucked up because they have no industry there. detroit still has plenty of big companies, so has chicago. but small places like camden, flint or gary have nothing pretty much

I met a chick from Camden in NC while I was at UNC. One of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I was surprised as hell when I found out she was from Camden. I joked with her about having to sleep with a gun under pillow. She said she did and was dead serious. She showed me an everything, which was crazy cause she kept doing it even in Chapel Hill.

Durham is right next door so she did the right thing LOL. That shit is like a mini-Camden. If I go to Durham I'm usually out before the street lights are on & I always have my gun in the car.

Come on man. Durham is bad, but it ain't that bad. Most of the trouble there is gang related. It ain't like Camden where its all just ingrained in the culture of the city. And Chapel Hill is safe. I remember the first year I was there, someone got murdered and they acted like it was the end of the world.
