It's if they're a repeat offender. After the child has been disciplined, the parent can be charged if it is found that they are still bullying other kids. The law sounds a bit crazy, but at the same time there is definitely a need for the system to force parents to actually control their damn kids.

Simply because, in these times, when a kid being bullied finally stands up for himself............more often than not............he ends up getting treated like the perpetrator and the bully ends up getting treated like the victim.

Basically, the administrators end up doing to the bullied kid what they should've done to the bully a long time ago.

Yeah this does happen. Had it happen to my son, but I back him all the way up on it and told the administration to get to fuck off. He still knows to defend himself whenever necessary.

I tell all my kids they will never be punished by me for defending themselves and I will go to bat for them

In HS you can just walk away, or punch the person in the mouth, what can you do when someone in upper management is picking with you, aside from leave your job?

Bullying is still being treated with false hoods such as "They grow up to be losers." "Oh, they are only bullying because they hard hurting inside, etc.

Dumbest shit I ever read, “just punch the person in the mouth” LOL oh ok it’s that easy for a kid getting bullied by someone twice his size, and he don’t have the option to just leave school and if he rats he runs the risk of escalating the bullying, it’s much more draining for a kid than a grown person, at work You can file a complaint with HR or possibly get a lawyer involved depending how serious it is, and finding a new job is always an option where dropping out isn’t, plus kids take it to social media now, you can’t escape it

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a "good" option...I'm just saying not everybody got the tools or the help to see something like that through.

Just went through it with one of my lil cousins. She an only child that changed schools from a regular sized school to a pretty big school. Tried out for some sport to try to fit in/make new friends, messed up in tryouts and got clowned from somebody recording it. Started off as the snapchat getting spread and shit then her address got posted and ppl started vandalizing her stuff. Her fb and whatever else she was on kept getting hit up and you can't do homework without the internet now so everyday it was some shit. Teachers and principal couldn't really do anything about it...they suspended the kid who posted the snapchat but the damage had been done since then, plus nobody really knew her cuz she was new to the school...then when the kid got suspended she was getting hit up getting called a snitch...all that happened within like 2 months of her going there.

Knowing that shit can follow you home and how quick it can turn...and then nobody knowing who is really responsible cuz most of it is done anonymously so you can't even beat somebody ass behind it...I can see why some kids feel helpless enough to take their own life. What if they dont have parents like you or families that will back em up on top of no friends (or fake friends) at school meanwhile you got niggas chipping at your confidence constantly? I can see why it eats at kids like that.

I replied with a one word response earlier because I was at work.

First, I didn't mean that literally, of course punching them in the mouth isn't much of an option, what I meant was bullying among children is easier to solve. Children don't have any power, they can't affect whether you eat or not, whether you have a place to live or not.

Finding a new job isn't always an option, just as dropping out isn't, you can equally say the child can transfer schools, they don't have to drop out.

As far as HR goes, they are for the company, not you, as long as it's something that wont hurt the company, and the person responsible is more important than you, you're shit out of luck.

Are you going to sue/complain to HR if a Project Manger is using their contacts to give others a bad impression of you? How would that sound? "This person is talking about me."

What about a supervisor , or a person in a higher position that blames you for stuff you're really not responsible for? You can go to HR, but it will likely result in you being let go for some random reason, and probably blacklisted. AT the best, you will be moved to another group.
