Damn the Clips had legit team going into this season and blew it up smh, teams ain't learn that you need a complete team to win a ring. Shit just got harder for my damn rockets to make the playoffs though

Clippers are dumb as fuck. So now that they got Chris Paul, what does that do for their franchise? The way I see it, instead of barely not making the playoffs, they're a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. Can they win a championship? Fuck no! Will they be able to the year after that? Nope, so what was the point of the trade?

What's going to happen when those 2 years run out? Chris Paul is going to bounce and go somewhere we he can have a high probability of getting a ring, not to mention by then Chris Paul will probably be on the decline.

So basically, Clippers gave up a young promising 2-guard, and a top 5 pick in a strong draft for an injury prone superstar point guard who's more than likely going to leave when he figures out the Clippers have no chance of winning a ring.

basically ......

Why do people keep saying this. Jordan>Kaman and Butler>Aminu, what did they blow up???

stars bring players. Name me a team that didn't have multiple stars thats won multiple championships. No they may not be able to win won in the immediate future but they are relevant again and they will compete. This is just the beginning, you need a foundation before you build a very good team and paul and blake are only gonna help in recruiting new pieces. Something that wasn't going to happen before the trade.

right... but now they lost some depth and its not like they are now championship contenders ... so what was the point?

they are going to sell more tickets but its makes little basketball sense imo... *shrugs*

depth can come in time stars can't. This is the beginning..... You can take the opposite route and keep getting "solid players" like my team(houston) and then be desperate for a star. Stars win rings in this league... period.

As a hornets fan this is shitting on the Lakers deal tho. We wanna rebuild and maybe tank the season, maybe even get 2 top ten picks in one of the most talented draft classes ever. Harrison Barns and Andre Drummond nigga:)

Oh i agree. That other trade yall woulda been better than the worst teams, but no more than a 40 win team.

Dunno about best draft class in years, but i was thinking the same about yal gittin 2 top 10, maybe top 5 picks.

What makes it even is the Clips dont need anymore young talent. Paul + Blake = FAs will come = win now.

Just watch the next few days. 1 word: Amnesty.

You're gonna see some big names get waived and come to LAC.

what when its all said and done kevin durant>>>blake griffin

1-2 yrs cp3 is going to be past his prime and kd and westbrook are going to be just 24,25

1) Yes, Durant > Blake...but Dominant PF > Great scorer. Pretty self explanaotry to me, but i'll expound if necesary.

2) So Chris Pual has 2 years left. Got it. Edit: Sorry, Chris Pual has MAYBE 2 years left....could be ONE. Got it.

He's a 6'3 SG.

I could just leave it at that, but he's basically the prototype of a numbers guy on a bad team. Helluva offensive repetoire, great triple threat, great 1 on 1 moves, but he's not gonna create mismatches, and the second he doesnt get #1 option looks, he's a dime a dozen guy. He just young is why he's an assett.

For anyone who disagrees, what does Eric Gordon give you that Nick Young or JR Smith (if he was a starter) not give you?

lol. ok, if he can stay healthy cp3 has i say about 4,5 yrs of quality play left in him. he's 26 now....

blake is a great talent... but kd is going to be a mvp candidate for the next 6,7 seasons ..

imo he's going to one day be listed with the greats ...
