I just think it'd be interesting to see what the opinions of Bostonians would be when asked whether they support the IRA or not, considering the IRA has used similar tactics in the UK.

Of course, comparison would be based on the conjecture that these two brothers are motivated by the atrocities and continued suppression of Chechen independence by Russia.

And I dont' think i'm being hyperbolous in wondering what the contrast in support would be for IRA groups fighting for independence from the UK versus support for Chechen groups who use similar tactics for independence from Russia.

It's pretty well-known that a lot of the support State-side for the IRA was concentrated in the Boston area, due to the larger population of Irish-Americans.

I'm not supporting these Boston bombings. Not by any means. I just think the opinions of people who also happen to support the IRA would be an interesting psychological study on cognitive dissonance and ethnic/racial/national bias when it comes to terrorism.
