I'm not shopping for Christmas at all. I'm done with it. I've checked out. I'm saving all my money. That's a better gift than anyone could have gotten me anyway. I've already told everybody, don't expect nothing from me because I ain't buying you nothing. Fuck the crowds, the sales, and the companies. I'm exhausted by that shit.

Ironically, from what I understand (not 100% sure), Jesus birthday was not in December. The church elites of that time moved the holiday to December to compete with other existing pagan holidays (celebrating Saturn and the winter solstice). So if true, man lied on Jesus to compete with the devil....

Support black owned business instead. If you boycott on Friday don't go on a shopping spree on the weekend. This boycott has to be a long term solution with a viable replacement.

My boy put something like this on his page like the black community is unified or something. This will go no where.

I let my family members do their own dam shopping. I go to the grocery store and I just hit 2 spots.

I'm boycotting US PRODUCTS

I won't renew my Nba account.

I won't buy Sneaker.

No new US MUSIC.

Until they reinvestigate that case.

Canceling my travel to USA TOO.

I have been going out of my way to support black businesses in the past 2 years. Even if it costs me more to do so.

Unfortunately, black owned businesses don't always have what I want/need. So I don't channel all my dollars there. But I try to use my dollar to support black owned as much as possible.

It's not that by boycotting black friday or the entire christmas season will create a massive change, BUT by making it a lifestyle to support black owned can have a very positive impact.

Here's an example using the asian community as a model. This may resonate with Bay Area people more than others because this is how it is out here.

Take a day, any day. Today Thanksgiving. Whatever. If you go to Safeway, Luckys, Food Maxx, Ralph's, whatever...look at the parking lot and all the cars. Go inside and you'll see a mix of black, latino, middle eastern, asian, white, etc shopping.

Now go to Lion Market, Ranch 99, Hankook, or any other asian market. You'll see almost or just as many cars in the parking lot as Safeway, but if you shop there you'll see the crowd is at least 90% asian. Their dollar is concentrated there. The dollar is power to the point where new stores surrounding the market open and they're mostly asian. Now, with that power comes influence. More asian people move near these places. The politicians that come out of these districts represent their communities.

Again, going back to boycotting black friday....it's not that boycotting Friday or the entire Christmas season is going to break system in place (but, it can put a dent in quarterly earnings that will lead to some layoffs and management changes), but redirecting our dollars as much as possible into black owned businesses can have a positive effect in creating bigger black owned businesses and building a collective economic base. I don't even have kids, but I know that our kids need to see and become a part of that.

It aint even about a 'good cause'. It about perspective. Shop or dont, its not changing anything,. So just the thought of such a hollow gesture actually makes me mad, like we that hopeless. That we screamin w/ no voice.

Like i'd feel mfers is laughin if people 'stayed home and not shop'. Kinda like we laughed at the Clippers turnin they jersey inside out.

I dont know the answer, but i know the not-answer when i see it. Im too mad to get excited about mfers 'not shopping'. Tha fuk is that gon do

It's one of those things that will only work if EVERYBODY did it.

I heard Wal-Mart gave $10K to the fund for Darren Wilson. So if blacks wanted to boycott something it should be a business like that. I heard ABC gave Wilson $500K for his interview (dont know if true).

So I wont be shopping on BLack Friday but I am sure plenty of black people will. All I can do is control what I'M gonna do. Gotta start with me first I guess.
