None of that makes sense. Pretty much everything she's done since she's been around has been in defiance of Narcisse. Did you actually listen to the dialogue between her and Chalky. She was the one that wanted Chalky to go away. She wanted to leave it all behind and start a new life somewhere far away. Chalky was the one that talking about staying around and finishing things with Narcisse.
I don't think she set him up, but I do think she knew that eventually Narcisse would find and come after them. She tried to get Chalky to leave, and when he didn't, she saved herself.

Didn't Chalky agree to go with Daughter to wherever she wanted to go by the end of the ep? How would they know where Chalky was located? I assume that's what Lou was telling Chalky, you can't trust her. It is possible the nephew somehow tipped them off

So, I been binge watching the first four seasons of Boardwalk Empire for the last two weeks.
This shit is gold. I still think Gyp was the best overall villain, but the Dr is legit. He was weakened though, which I was kinda disappointed with.
Chalky that dude, but basically Season 4 for him is all the shit Nucky had to deal with in Season 3. Their roles pretty much reversed. It's hard to tell if Daughter was involved in that ambush, but I wouldn't rule it out. BTW: one of his kids, probably his son, will die before this is over. Chalky goin feel some pain, which will put him rollin out on them for Daughter (as tasty as she is) in perspective.
Van Alden and Harrow Season (I call him Clayface) are my two favorite characters on the show, hands down. Harrow seems to be THE most moral main character. Sure he kills - and is damn good at it (the rampage through the house at the end of Season 3 is a Top 3 TV moment all-time in terms of straight trillness), but he really only kills to survive....or help someone he cares about survive. Dude has a real solider's code, which is why he loves Tommy so much. I was happy when he married that chick, and even got her pops to ride with him...after he fucked her pops up for talking that shit.
Van Alden...I hated that religious dude at first, then I felt sorry for him, then I cheered for him. That dude is pretty much a grown-ass version of Gohan, and I think it took his new wife (who's underrated as hell in terms of riding for a saltine) chumping the shit out of him to finally unleash that Super Saiyan 2 shit. By now, he's seen so much shit, he might just rise up with Capone and end up a capo or something.
I honestly didn't think Al Capone was that damn dumb and hotheaded, but if this portrayal of him is accurate, then my G points for this dude goes down a bit. Sure, Capone is general of the NFG squad in the '20s, but he's so bull-headed with his shit, that it got his brother killed.
As for Nucky...well, it took a while to get into his character, especially with the blatant caping for every skirt. However, I understand him now. Ever since he gave up the treasurer's spot, I think his morality conflicts he struggles with he learned how to kick them shits for the sake of business. Speaking of Nucky...
FUCK MARGARET THOMPSON. That's is all that needs to be said about her. I know a gang of wannabe church broads like her, and they all make me sick to my stomach, turning that holy-than-thou card on and off whenever it suits them.
Lastly, anyone here that says "Poor Gillian" is a simp, pure and simple. This was hands down THE most evil character (man OR woman) in the whole series, and I'm hella glad Peter Gibbons (Office Space, nigs...that's the first thing i said when I saw him appear) nabbed her ass up. What makes it even more sweet is the bitch cleaned herself up, and though that would atone for all the fucked-up shit she's done. He caught her at her absolute weakest.
Don't be surprised if in Season 5 (or somewhere down the road), she makes one last appearance to end her miserable life.
That shit happened in 1928, so don't be surprised if it gets written in...

Yeah, I really thought it was one of the dudes from the crib. The dude that left to go to Baltimore is who I think did it. But I think that mostly because I thought Lou said " didn't go to no damn Baltimore." I could be wrong about that thought so I don't know.
Episode 10 gotta be one of the 5 greatest episodes of TV period
When u add in the stakes and the build up of pace this season it might crack top 3. might
assume this season is independent of the others & we're introduced to the club bein Chalkys & Nucky being the bank that owes him favor that whole give & take & all the other connects(Rothstein, Capone, Myer). They introduce the villain (Knox & Narcisse) have the conflict and the questionable damsels in distress (Gillian & Daughter) and the shady brother with the inferiority complex who might bring the whole thing down- it's STILL a GOAT season without ever knowin Jimmy or Gyp etc.
i been on that Chalky/Omar connection since i made the post praising Michael K. i just didnt have anything concrete. im glad u niggas connected the dots cause i had a feeling & knew i wasnt the only one
if they do that...shit..ill turn into one of those annoying hipsters who force my tastes on everyone & make everyone tired of hearing about this show lol

I agree wholeheartedly. and if the writers somehow manage to fuck the season finale up entirely (which, based on the preview, doesnt seem very likely) this season will perhaps go down as my favorite. main reason being that terence winter and co. have virtually responded to almost every request i had coming into it
give me more scenes involving chalky and capone, 2 characters i enjoy? check
give me less scenes involving margaret, a character i despise? check
show me van alden finally coming into his own? check
have the main protagonist nucky take a backseat to focus on some of the more interesting supporting characters? check
introduce another interesting villain to the plotline (narcisse) after gyp left? check
pretty much everything i wanted them to do, they did. the only complaints i have about this season are lanksy and luciano not getting enough screen time. but i think next season a chunk of it will be alotted to them. and also willie's storyline which was probably what i would consider the weakest. but as the season progressed, even that started to become more significant and fall into place.
Right because we haven't already seen Chicago, NY, Tampa, Ireland and D.C.
This show might be focused on the Boardwalk but it also incorporates a lot of other characters from various backgrounds like Al and Chicago and Lucciano and NY. I don't think it's wishful thinking to think the show won't incorporate more mobsters and it is not that far to think that we might see a young Bumpy Johnson or Madame St. Claire or King Solomon in Boston.
