Am I the only one think..... regarding Margaret's family in Brooklyn: I don't think it's Margaret's brother and sisters who are in Brooklyn; I think it's a husband and children that she left for whatever reason?

While Van Alden has been distracted from his obsession with Margaret, at the moment, he too has the potential to expose Margaret's past. Especially now that there's a dangerous maid for him to interview. In a show that's partly about conflicted loyalities, I can see Kate's having to choose whether or not to protect Margaret's secret. Van Alden knows her name at the time of immigration, but not that she now has...family in Brooklyn.

Good theory. I didn't even think of that. But could you see her bouncing on her kids without taking them? Usually when a woman is running from her family it's because the husband is an abuser or something close to it and her motherly instincts won't allow her to leave without the kids. So they usually take the kids or don't leave at all if they can't take the kids with them. Plus I couldn't see them writing her as abandoning her children to come here and have another one.

Richard Harrow is the trillest character on the show.
Eli is just fucking dumb, duke is not fit to have any authority.

To me, the show is at it's best when it focuses on Al, Jimmy, Luciano/Lansky/Rothstein, and Chalky.

Even though he's supposed to be the main character, I don't really care too much for Nucky.

I've heard others say the same. i think its because the gangster angle in general is far more entertaining. And it doesnt hurt to see fictionalized representzations of real life mob figures.

Throughout season 1 I maintained the show was really about Jimmy & Margaret. It was about their 'rag to riches' story and what they were willing to do to make it. NNucky was the catalyst to their character developments and didnt change much in the 1st season. This season seems to be all about Knuck though.
