Who in any of the elections threads has even suggested for folks to NOT vote locally?

So you are voting for local officials, because their policies and political influence will affect your life ...

But you are refusing to vote for the President of the United States because their policies and influence WILL NOT affect your life?

Make that make sense

Local things have a major affect on my day to day life. As a collective locally we also have more influence and its easier to get them to deal with issues in my neighborhood or city. The president not at all.

My local officials senator, representative, govenor(I know they not on this ballot) can at least voice the concerns of the people from our district to the president to maybe have some sway in president's policies regardless of who is in the oval office next.

When did I ever say the presidents policies don't affect my life?

You need to stop going overboard hyping and ASSUMING shit I never said.

I'm right by the white house 5 days a week. I see these fool ass people out here protesting in front of the white house everyday rain, sleet or snow. All the shit they protesting is not even registering a blip on the president radar. Shit is a big ass waste of time.

Enough people voice their national concerns locally they can be heard because those seats don't have term limits like the presidents. So when re-election time rolls around if you acted deaf to the local peoples concerns you can be easily replaced. President don't have those same concerns truthfully. Regardless of what they do they either getting 4 or 8 years and can never run again. Locally people can lose their seat after holding it and run again for that same seat in the next election. So they have more accountability in decisions made in my life than the president.

Weed legalization in states and cities is an easy example of folks pressuring locally to get shit changed and it affected the easing of some federal regulations regarding weed.

This is a very logical and well thought out argument on why it matters to vote locally.

But, as you said yourself, it is ABSURD to pretend that the President's Initiatives and far reaching federal policies, Supreme Court Appointies, Secretaries of State, Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, etc.; along with several dozen other elected officials that the president controls; DO NOT have an affect on your day to life

The President leaves a legacy that the country has to bear the repercussions of for generations.

As you have articulated extensively in other threads - our nation has the fingerprints of policies that were enacted decades ago.

The Economy, Flagship Initiatives, the direction of the Supreme Court, Education, Foreign relationships, Enagement in Wars ...

Are just a few places the president and his appointees have direct influence ...

If you are frustrated and just hate both candidates so much that you cannot bring yourself to vote for either of them as president - then say that...

But don't sit here and pretend it just "doesn't matter" who the president of the Untied States is

And dont act oblivious to the fact that one of these two Flawed candidates WILL become the President.

again blacks beating themselves up for not conforming to the white mans agenda. If Trump becomes president rest assured it has little to do with us and more to do with whites,Asians,Hispanics, and the LGBT community. They all supported and encouraged Trump in little ways also so we shouldnt feel bad about the outcome.....none of them muhfuccas ever loved us anyway

Hispanics and Gays don't support Trump like that neither.

Funny how easily Trump can just fuck up the whole economy, healthcare, education system(which is shit as is anyway. No where is it in the constitution that any american has the right to a proper education) but Obama couldn't do anything specific for black people because of congress. Will Trump not have a congress to answer to?

These things do not exist in a vaccum.

Have you checked the representation in the US Congress recently?

It's pretty damn Republican...

Have you bothered to research the unprecedented opossition and lack of cooperation that Obama faced from Congress?

Republicans in Congress tend to agree with presidents who share the same party and happen to not be Black - see Donald Trump.

Do you remember the state of our economy the last time we had Republican majority in Congress and a Republican White House?

Or our are memories, conveniently, that short?

Hint - it was worse than our economy is today.

Obama had something to do with that.

He had something to do with about five dozen other positive things.

But - I know, he is forever a coon because he didn't pass the "End Racism Completey, Now" Act.

Man that shit matters to "You" but others who have peeped game that shit "doesn't matter" because they know the results..

Don't box everybody in to think that who being the President of the U.S. matters, when the shit "doesn't matter" and we've given you plenty of examples to why it "doesn't matter" to those who are not voting or voting for someone else other than the 2..

The clip in the other thread from Malcolm X explained why, the nigga words still hold weight today and we are in the same struggle as our grandparents those ppl in the 60s/70s/80s/90/00/were in...Don't matter who become president, shit won't change the "state" of black ppl as a whole..and that's where you dudes don't seem to understand...talkin about a trillion dollar deficit, the fuck that has to do with a man being gunned down and cops taking vacation, or a school in the community that barely have running A/Cs or working lights... breh...it will start to matter when the one that becomes president helps out the black man/woman and child.

Everyone knows one will become President, it's the fact that both candidates shitted on black ppl and some black folks are looking at other blacks folks trying to understand if they know this or not and if they do, why are they still voting.

so nobody gon representing the anti voting stance gon answer my question?

i asked a legit question in an attempt to engage and spark dialogue, but get met with "what are the pro voters doing in the community"?

this is a problem. Answering questions with questions.

My dude, what does that have to do with anything? what does another man or woman, they doing services in the community have to do with you reason to why you are voting?

You can go look up ppl that's helping out in the community...if you want your question answered..

No I'm not a politician.

so you feel you have to be a politician to start a movement or be apart of one?

serious question

No I don't

We got no friends and we got no allies...and nikkas are too fukking scared to go ahead and face the realization and the condemnation head on, asking silly ass questions "what you doing in your community" nigga I'm trying to save it along with my brothers and sisters....but nikkas vote for a group of White people that think even less of you because they will pity and pander to you during election time and then do absolutely nothing.

They ain't building prisons and having an entire prisons support CAC towns for nothing...

They ain't defunding public schools and making up entire new cities and districts for nothing...

McDonalds ain't talking about having fukking robot cashiers for nothing

They are getting ready to Native American our asses

Niggas need to stop delaying the inevitable because you are afraid of overt in your face racism

Niggas think having a Democratic President is a such a huge fucking deal...that White people have sat back for 8 years under Obama (and it really started under Regan) and created Jim Crow 2.0...

And now Jim Crow 2.0 is coming...niggas are like..."Wait..White people about to go back to the 1950s...we need a Democrat in office...because I don't wanna experience that..."

So you know White people have this hatred for you. The country has completely neglected you and abandoned you. Other minorities are feasting on your carcass...and you rather die in bliss...

Instead of confronting the results of your cowardice...

Cowards truly die twice...

Be a fucking man and woman about it and confront it and maybe through the struggle you find some resolve...

Nothing you "said or implied"?

My dude - you have stated multiple times on this forum that you are not voting for the President in 2016.

You also just basically said:

(Paraphrasing)

- "Obama didn't do anything positive for the county"

- "Therefore, Trump can't do anything negative for the country"

If voting isnt the solution, then what is? What are YOU doing in the community to evoke change?

Out of curiosity, how do you guys think Trump is going to tank the country if he is elected?

The next president has the potential (1 guaranteed) to appoint 4 supreme court justices. 4!

We know Trump doesn't give a sh*t about any of that stuff because he's a rich white man trying to

secure as much power as possible...so he will just defer to his base

But Imagine 4 Clarence Thomas's for the next 30-40 years. Thats a life time.

And thats just the supreme court. Im not even talking about the Court of Appeals, District court or any other specialty court nominations.
