The Bible wasn't written by God himself, it was written by man. Whether it's true or not, it doesn't matter. Early man saw the moon as a source of light, because it does light up the earth during a clear sky without city lights.

Why would early man not distinguish between the sun and the stars? The Sun was our source of all light, stars in the sky were not.

But the infallibility of the Bible means that there is a chance that the concept of a personal creator god is false. Since that concept is highly unlikely and does not line up with our daily experience, it is safe to assume that ancient man also got that wrong when pondering the universe.

I think you take genesis way too literal

Genesis is actually a metaphor but Christians and (maybe) yourself take it too literal. So I base my arguments on the literal interpretation.

You are coming to your own conclusion based on erroneous theories of why those earthly things are linked to heavenly things. Genesis means beginnings. Thus it gives us the origins of how everthing came to be. That is why if you can accept Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth", everything else that follows is easy to accept. Amen.
