I'm struggling to see how anyone wouldn't take issue with degrading people because of their religion, and cultural practices, while citing statistics with no supporting data.

I don't think Cosby meant harm. However, he was out of line, out of touch, out of pocket and could have found a more articulate and positive way to voice his opinion\concerns.
