Albums no, and I agree....but Mixtapes that should've been albums....ehhh thats debatable bro. I think Krit Wuz Here and Return of 4eva are close. I guess im biased because im a fan, and its all subjective at the end of the day if you ask me.....but those were some way above average tapes. If those were actual albums that Def Jam put out....I think the discussion about Krit would be a little different.

The reason u can't label a mixtape a classic is simply cause of sample clearances. There's been many of classic songs not being able to be put on albums cause of samples. If you can't get the sample cleared that shit don't count, if you could a lot of niggas would have classics off of other ppl's music.

Gotcha. I assumed it didn't matter. Makes sense. You don't spend a whole bunch of money for the production of the actual cd and having it in stores. I think it was a certain number of each cd you could buy.
