My only gripe with this album is the same I have with all double albums or rap albums that have 17+ songs on them. Take 4 or 5 songs out and the album gets an extra Mic at least half of one.

Like someone said I prefer krit's introspective side over the ignant shit, but I get that he gotta do that to be a complete artist. However I think KRIT missed out on a chance to have a potential real great classic album out. I mean Blueprint, GKMC, stillmatic level classic if he had kept it shorter. Just my opinion. Still a dope album that I'll be listening to for a while

What 4-5 songs would you take out though?

Is hard with this album. After another listen, the only songs I would take out in search of making it a true classic would be "big bank" and "subestein" . These tracks might grow on me, but right now those are the only ones I could do without. As I type this I realize I'm nitpicking like a mothafucka. This shit jammin....nouf said...even "keep the devil off me" starting to sound good, like confetti it sounds alot better to me w the rest of the album.

I understand what you mean bro and agree to a certain extent...But let’s be honest...do you think if Krit put together a “concensus” classic album that he would actually get the deserved props for doing so? His fan base holds him high but everyone else still acts like he doesn’t exist.

Is everyone else loss, They missing out on possibly the best double album since 2pacs "better dayz" and "life after death"

Great album. It gets better as you go along with disc 2 being the strongest and most potent. KRIT utilises various styles and flows and touches on multiple subject matters exemplifying his range and growth as an artist. There are tracks that could be radio singles such as Subenstein, 1999 (very reminiscent of Return of 4eva's Get Right), Keep The Devil Off, Justin Scott, The Light, Aux Cord etc. Big KRIT really took a moment to analyse and present the best body of work I'd say since Return of 4eva which is not to say previous albums weren't good because they're amazing by far. There aren't many gripes with this album, the album was definitely made with the intention of repackaging himself to past and newer audiences and he nails it with his delivery. Easily one of the best new releases this year next to Joey Badass, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Drake, Raekwon, Wu-Tang and others. KRIT produced the vast majority of the album and shows he's just as incredible as a lyricist as he is a producer sheesh.

I would rate this album a solid 9/10 as it is in my view KRIT'S best work on a long time easily surpassing Cadillactica. Criticisms I can think of are he doesn't really give us anything "new" in terms of sound but it's such a minor criticism because someone else may hear something totally different lyrically or sonically and have a different opinion. At the same time tho what else is there for KRIT to speak on that everyone else isn't already talking about ? LOLOL. This album brought him back to his essence - to the beginning.

9/10

Great review Sion....I agree 1999 is a hit or at least sounds like one. I like that it’s a play on Back Dat Azz up. If this one doesn’t blow up I’m not sure Krit will ever have a mainstream hit.

I’m stuck on Get Away at the moment.

He'll have a hit, people gotta stop thinking of rappers not having careers in their 30s because it kills hip-hop. If the Rolling Stones or U2 or Jay-Z can then so can other artists. KRIT will have his day B)

Imo Country Shit and Paying Attention was nice hit singles for him. Those songs were playing on new Orleans and ATL radio heavy.

Yea, this the best album of the year so far imo.

Didn't Little Dragon album yet, but my favorite albums so far:

Krit-4eva

Sampha- Process

Kendrick- Damn

Not that they suck... But if i had to trim it down to one disc these the ones to go.
