A couple weeks ago me and my homeboy went to the corner store at like 3 in the morning to get a swisher. We ended up sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours rewinding one Ghost verse. Jay don't even have emotion b, this thread is disrespectful. Starks shit is so much more complex.

2 hours though?

LOL aliases coming out the woodwork to cape for Jigga .. .

Typical

Defending points against jay= stating unbiased facts to further show why your point of view is the right point of view and anybody who doesn't agree with said points is the one with the problem.

Defending points for jay= caping for this nigga with bias non facts cuz ur to busy being a stan/warrior to understand that having points towards tryna defend an opinion towards jay is just plan wrong.

Thanks gotcha!!!!

Let's all vote for Jay...

A couple of well known posters here have supported my argument that Jigga fell off lyrically . .. I don't have the time or energy to hate on a rap nigga who doesn't even know I exist

You can carry on bruh. ..

Jay's music nowadays is nothing special, and most reasonable fans would admit that. Only fanatics are arguing and they are the very reason he can get away with making such lackluster music. Why put time in effort into crafting something great, when you got an army of fools out there that will support something mediocre just as fervently.

So uhhhh does this mean Ghostface wins by a mile?
How but including Jay's Most Important work. You know like Reasonable Doubt. Dynasty LP (crowned by the IC as best intro song in Rap ever. In My Lifetime volumes . Don't leave out that.
Hey those are the only albums metacritic had? I just took your suggestion and threw it back at you. Besides, you dudes are failing to acknowledge that Ghostface has albums missing too: Ironman, Supreme Clientele, and Bulletproof Wallets. In other words, his two best albums and one of his better albums aren't on the list. And if we are going to include the Dynasty LP which was a group album, you'd have to throw in the Wu-tang albums too. So no matter how you look at it, Ghostface comes out on top.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. I didn't say Reasonable Doubt wasn't well received. It's the only album of Jay's I even own, so of course I think it's good. My point was that Ghost's most critically acclaimed albums are Ironman and Supreme Clientele. Neither of those albums were included in the list either, so you can put all the missing albums there and it won't change anything. Gst's cisalog will still come out as bein etter rated th?? Jay's both by the critics and the general metacritic users.
You lied and stated Blueprint is s 6.6 metacritic its8.8user 8. 8critic I can divide!

Yeah I lied, either that or you know I made a mistake and put the BP2 score twice. And it doesn't matter anyway because I copied the metacritic critic average, so that number remains the same. It doesn't matter how you cut it, both the critics and the metacritic users rate Ghost's catalog higher than Jay's for those subsets.

And the one thing that's good about looking at those scores to determine which is better is that there was no bias in those scores. It's not like anyone was reviewing those albums with the intentions of saying one artist was better than the other. Those were just honest assessments of each album's quality. And at the end of the day, people generally rate Ghost's works as being better than Jay's.

Look at Ghost First 2 Solo LPs Supreme Clientelle and Ironman -his most important vs Jay's 2 most important joints Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint Uno. There are ratings for both Jay Z ratings For both consistently have Perfect ratings 5 out of 5 stars 5 mics A grades etc.

Ghost has great reviews but not PERFECT ratings on his best LPs . Its 4.5 mics for Ironman 4 stars etc.

lol This is what you call desperation. So you're trying to find the right combination of albums that will result in Jay looking better than Ghost. That's just pathetic.

And Blueprint's averages are right there on metacritic. It was less that 9 for both critics and users, so claiming that it's some album that's consistently reviewed as perfect is an outright lie and denial of facts right in your face. Give RD a 10 and Ironman a 8 or 9 or whatever you want and in the end Ghost's catalog still has a higher review average than Jay's. Sure, Jay may have a higher reviewed album in his catalog than Ghost has in his, but he also has two lower reviewed albums than Ghost has in his, so what does that even prove?
