Damn idk man shit tough I was gonna say blaze but Kanye made "never change" shit is tough.

Song cry my fave song on that album the sample just so soulful I zone out.

1. Song Cry

2. Heart of the City

3. Izzo

...didnt care for the others.

Guess i vote Song Cry because Heart of City leans on the sample heavy

Theyre both neck and neck but takeover being involved in one of the greatest hip hop beefs of all time gives it an edge over for me.

And when I go back to that album I usually replay more of ye's produced tracks than any others aside from Song Cry

Didnt know kanye produced the girls remix to just blaze's original version

Its one of the best produced albums of all time

Just was and is leagues ahead of Ye in terms of pure beat making. He amplifed the dynamics those samples with original instrumentation and his drum selection. Ye's imagination and his knowledge of pop culture is what put him over the top. Who the fuck puts The Doors and KRS One together like that? That shit is genius. Just and Ye is like Superman vs Goku at this point, that battle is decades long.

To answer the question... Bink. Dynasty Intro and 1900 Hustler>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I understand sampling in hip hop and shit but that takeover beat is pretty much the exact same as the doors beat. kanye barely changed anything. his other work is better

Thats easy to say when u have the finished product (sample beat) all wrapped up and neatly packaged for u

But that shit was very fitting for one of the last memorable rap disses of hip hop all time

Wish I could find out how long he had the beat on deck before giving it to jay, who decided it would be used as a nas diss (kanye being a nas fan) , and why yeezy is on the writing credits

To be fair it was only half Nas diss. The other half was aimed at Prodigy, its just nobody ever mentions that because outside of @supergangster nobody gives a fuck about Prodigy
