Better Producer on Jay-Z's 'The Blueprint' Album: Kanye West vs Just Blaze

I understand sampling in hip hop and shit but that takeover beat is pretty much the exact same as the doors beat. kanye barely changed anything. his other work is better

Thats easy to say when u have the finished product (sample beat) all wrapped up and neatly packaged for u

But that shit was very fitting for one of the last memorable rap disses of hip hop all time

Wish I could find out how long he had the beat on deck before giving it to jay, who decided it would be used as a nas diss (kanye being a nas fan) , and why yeezy is on the writing credits

To be fair it was only half Nas diss. The other half was aimed at Prodigy, its just nobody ever mentions that because outside of @supergangster nobody gives a fuck about Prodigy

EDIT: The beat I was thinking about was You, Me, Him and Her. I remember reading the credits to the album and thinking to myself, "Damn, Bink made my favorite beats on this album, but nobody talks about him among the great producers". For some reason I still have it in my head that Bink made Dynasty and Just made 1900 Hustler. I just assume that Bink made all that shit.

not only did Just Blaze come from a DJing background, but he was also an audio engineer before he blew as a producer. You can hear it in his beats, and the sonic differences between his drums, samples, dynamincs to Ye's are very obvious. But what a great production team for one album. Bink! , Just , & Yeezy , (Em too) but damn.

Once I hear "I'm not trying to be nosey babe, to trying to give some advice..." it's zoning time. I think it's impressive that two relatively unknown producers were able to create an album with an obvious, non lyrical theme so effortlessly. Sidebar, Jigga can always use more Ski Beats.
