these two albums are so far apart from each other, from construction to delivery

its impossible to compare. they're too different to compare

"which album was better, Straight Outta Compton or Midnight Marauders?" would be a closer comparison.

and then the fact that the fans of each artist trying to find the negative in the other album to make their

case better, is stupid. both of these projects are about as close to flawless as i've ever heard.

let's just celebrate the fact that we've gotten possibly two of the best albums of all time within a

couple months of each other. and that's less than a year after at least three other spectacular releases

(KRIT, Cole, Joey)

POST OF THE YEAR

emotions from his experiences. like that "loving you is complicated" bridge

thats raw emotion. if you listened to the album and say you aint feel nothin

i say you lying or you aint listen. did you really listen to it?

thats only one track

The majority of the album did not display raw emotions

Do you listen to music or skim through it

maybe a better analogy would be "who's better Jordan or Shaq?"

Only a few songs off kl albums gets play... And i find myself listening to Lupes alot more... Listening to them on the same playlist just highlights lupes's lyrical ability

To skim through it is just skin to it, you're so thin we can see your sins through it.

bruh that s a reach . even me as a french poster i could feel that this album was introspective

@LonedogAchilles great post bruh

Lupe's joint has taken a back seat on the playlist for a while since K. Dot's album came out but Lupe's joint is still the overall complete project to me 3 months in

Aw man, it's not even comparable.

Kendrick dropped something that left a lot of his fans wondering what the fuck just happened.

They were ready for another Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe/ Backseat Freestyle/ Swimming Pools sounding album.

Lupe instead, made his album way more accessible. He got some shit for everybody on this bitch.

Shit for the Wiz fans, Three 6 fans, Cudi fans, etc. etc. Don't get me wrong, ain't nothing wrong with Lupe.

Lyrical?, he nice (I won't compare him to a Wiz in that department.) lol, fuck nah..

But me personally, I liked TPaB a lot more.

Not what I expected, but I appreciate the direction on this album to the fullest.

Good ol' West Coast vibes. This album is so not made to be commercial, it's ridiculous!

lol

The results are exactly 50/50 lol

An artist's ability to keep your interest matters. Listened to T&Y once, already listened to Kdot 4 times. Bout to give TY another listen see if the hype is warranted

Man tetsuo & youth reminded me off why i like lupe (as an artist) this album told me he still got it and hopefully his next album will be on some "revenge of the nerds" type sh*t that is my favorite mixtape of all time.
