and Scarface is from Jersey, Kurupt is from Philly etc.. SO how do we trully determine where someone is from past where they claim they got Game from? Is it based on the time in the location or the impact the location had on the individuals life...

Technically Pac ain't from the bay but he repped the bay. That's like saying Master P is from the bay. Just like Master P he was already grown before he came out here, they got their game from the bay though.

We all know Pac repped the bay and LA so from a musical standpoint, he's a westcoast artist but he ain't from here.

For a poll like this I would've left Pac off of it since he wasn't born and raised in the bay. This thread should be remade without him.

2pac moved to Marin City, California the Bay Area when he was 17 and lived there for many years and lived in the West till his death

He repped The Bay Area straight outta his own mouth, he said he had bad experiences in New York because he got bullied there and didn't have many friends

If the poll was "Best California rapper" then Pac should definitely be listed, but Pac isn't a Bay Area rapper imo

Im sayin tho, from the age of 16 - 21 is when you're becoming a man. So that influence/lifestyle in the bay is more prevalent to his development than his yrs as a kid in the east. IMO

Dudes first rap name was MC New York & his first album clearly shows his eastcoast slang & accent. I just think due to Cali blowing up the following years it became cool & profitable to be from there so he repped it, just like Compton & etc. when some cats barely even lived there.
