I just moved from bmore to charlotte like 3 months ago. Shit is mad different. Imma say tho all that talk ppl be saying about the cost of living being cheaper.....it aint. Car insurance is lower but that's about the only significant difference(unless you buying a house...cuz rent is about the same)

Man, Charlotte is becoming the same way. In the 3 short years I've been here, traffic has definitely increased to an insane amount. Everybody and their mama moving here. I try not to drive anywhere between 4:00-6:00 because that shit make a nigga blood pressure raise smh.

Tell me about it.. I have to be in that shit everyday. I-77 is just horrible from 4-6 man. I like seeing Charlotte grow but I understand what you're saying too.

It's not that serious. You just have to learn the roads and different shortcuts.

In my experience, ATL gives you most of the benefits of an urban city without many of the headaches.

Cost of Living shits on most other urban areas at or above its caliber.

The only issue with ATL is the traffic. There is no diff roads or shortcuts to get around it. I've been here for 15 yrs and it gets worse every year. With both of my jobs, I travel the city, I know it more than most ppl that were born and raised here, u not beatin the traffic cause the road system is not built to support this many ppl plain and simple.

Fair. I guess everything is relative.

I expected the traffic when I moved here and it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It can be horrible at times, but for me that's the minority.

But I'm not to far from work and I am a good proximity to most of the stuff I need.

I also don't mind driving - a 25 minute commute is nothing to me.

We selected our residence very carefully...

For the record, I could do 45+ minutes, if the home value and other considerations made it worth it.

ATL pop is around 500k in the city limits but the metro area is 4 million.

If you think Atlanta is too big you would hate Dallas-Ft. Worth or Houston.

Dallas is just fucking huge for no reason. It is crazy. I remember driving to Ft Worth growing up and it felt like you actually left Dallas. Now it all just run together outside of South Dallas. Growing up, Mesquite was way out. Now it is McKinney. Fucking McKinney.

Yeah coming into Dallas on I20/US 80 once you hit Forney it aint nothing but city for like the next hundred miles. I never go to Ft. Worth cause it's just too damn far.
