So Section 80 really won the poll for best album of 2011?

afro-shaking-head-no.gif

Most of them didnt even listen to it in 2011.

Hell that got to do with it? A lot of posters on this site werent even alive for the years that the T/S started with. They cant vote?

Its being overrated off the strength of GKMC and general Kendrick IC dickriding...it wasn't as critically acclaimed or has hailed as some of other rap albums that came out in 2011.

Proof or GTFOH....

Smh

An artist's work can be relatively unnoticed by the public and still be nominated for a Grammy like AZ 'How Ya Living' ft. Nas.

Or Lupe Fiasco's Grammy nomination for 2013 Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 Best Rap Album.

Kendrick Lamar's Sec .80 can be treated in the same way.

If Section 80 won AOTY in '11 then it deserves it I think.

It had a lot of jazz influences with the production and quite a number of people prefer it to gkMc ..

I dont care if Eminiem really wins this year or not as long as Jays Holy grail album doesnt get dickrode to a dub im straight.

MCHG for me but MNIMN a very close second. Nothing was the same was a shit album to me. Felt like I was growing ovaries while listening to that shit.

TS you pissed me off leaving off Because of the Internet. Easily the most creative and in depth album last year.

You had to read a script and watch short films for it bruh,,,,,, like seriously

In that case Nacimera Dream should also get more mentions.

Section 80 got burn when it came in. plus kendrick killin the cyphers that year. it wasnt major but i do thnk a large section is kendrickmania which is enh to me. i wont say he didnt deserve to win. i just laugh that he did

overall i gots no qualms with the albums chose execpt 2001. that was a joke. 1996 was a little drastic as well
