Yes, but I'm not convinced that an eternity of torture is what our "wretchedness" deserves. C'mon, infinity never ends but sins and the repercussions of them have a beginning and an end.

Unfortunately, God doesn't thinks so...and I personal don't think Hell is a place that God forces on us. We choose it for ourselves. We welcome it like addicts do to drugs except it isn't always something that hurts you (and we are not going call anything we do Satanic or whatever). People are addicts to success, prosperity, good morals and such and Hell will be the place to find it...except you will never get enough to be satisfied. Eternal torment to me is spending forever with desires burning for something that can't be found.

So, he created the good in us, shouldn't we get some credit when we embrace that goodness?

What about ignorance of these laws of God?

Suppression? I'm not convinced that's the case. Many people are raised outside the Christian faith.

Because we're immortal we deserve endless punishment?

Maybe I'm not convinced that a just God would let 90 per cent be tortured for infinity.

1. No, God gets all the glory my friend. Thats the chief reason why mankind fails to acknowledge God as Lord is PRIDE. When we fail to see that all things come from Him, we get caught up in our self and (E)tch (G)od (O)ut.

2. God wrote the law in our heart. Ignorance is no excuse. Read Romans 2. Here is a snippet.

"12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. " Romans 2:12-16

3. Romans 1 addresses the fact that God can be found regardless of where you are on planet earth.

4. No, because we are sinners we deserve eternal punishment. God is Holy. Until you come to grips with this fact, you will not understand why sin is so offensive to Him.

5. You came up with the 90%. Nobody knows the exact figure, but God. But you are right, the wicked far outweigh the righteous.

I'm not sure how you know what God thinks, but this was a thoughtful post.

I'm still going with infinity is much too long to be punished for a decision.

Selflessness and humility I can dig, but self-loathing I cannot.

I see, a shared morality through conscience. However, some remain ignorant of the gospel and never heard it. Others here said the ignorant would go to heaven, but that doesn't make sense because then it would be better to suppress the gospel so that all remained ignorant of it and went to heaven.

The law of God, God, but not Jesus.

4. No, because we are sinners we deserve eternal punishment. God is Holy. Until you come to grips with this fact, you will not understand why sin is so offensive to Him.

This is what you said before though: "An infinite punishment is the only just sentence that a Holy God can admnister. Why? Because God made humans to live forever when He breathed the breath of life into us. Our souls are immortal because they come from the immortal, God Himself. Our immortal souls must live somewhere and those who refuse to acknowledge God for who He is will spend all eternity in the lake of fire."

To me that says that we have an infinite punishment because God designed us to live forever. That still doesn't address why one finite decision made in this short lifespan should have such infinite consequences.

5. You came up with the 90%. Nobody knows the exact figure, but God. But you are right, the wicked far outweigh the righteous.

Actually, there was a Christian on here that told me that only thirty per cent of Christians were going to be saved. I think that works out to ten per cent of the world's current population.

And the wicked outweigh the righteous because, according to you, everyone is wicked.

And maybe I would agree if it choosing Hell is strictly a matter of choice...like multiple choice or something. It goes much deeper than that. It's almost like Death...we're going to die whether we choose to or not. Unless someone finds a way to live forever or know somebody that can give you eternity, it's going to happen.

Yeah, but can't God be like "Alright you served your time, 40,000 years was enough time to think about all you did wrong and that poor-ass choice you made not to believe me. Do you believe me now?"

No thanks, I don't want to worship a fake, genocidal God that wants to send 90% of his OWN CHILDREN into a lake of fire just to improve his ego.

I'd rather worship Satan......at least he's not threatening to send me to a lake of fire for eternity all the time. He also gets brownie points for not supporting slavery, unlike that nasty Biblical God. UGH, how can people worship such a psychopath. Sounds like something child molesting priests and Eddie Long would do.....oh wait......

This thread is a failure in human reasoning and logic
