When did you start following God?

I was raised to believe in Jesus Christ because I had a godly mother. Praise the Lord. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

Once I got old enough to make my own decisions, I went astray just like all of humanity does. I tested out the flesh, the world, and the devil. My testing almost got me destroyed. But by Gods grace, His mercy, and His love He kept His promise and led me back to Him 4 years ago. If God starts out with 100 sheep, He will come home with 100 sheep. He never loses 1. Hallelujah to the King!

Now I will live with God forever my friend. FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER I WILL BE IN HIS PRESENCE!

I will rejoice with my King for eons and eons my friend. What joy! What hope! What love! Glory to God.

Actually, according to a recent thread, if God starts out with 6.9 billion sheep, 6 billion of them are going to hell.

We are all God creation, but we are not all His sheep. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27

If you belong to Christ, you will follow Him. If not, judgment day will declare who was right and who was wrong. God bless.

Yeah, only ten per cent of the sheep have ears, the other ninety per cent are going to hell.

Ahhh yes so I was correct. Seems like all religious people that are a little over the top with it were lead astray by the devil at some point in their life.

The devil deceives the whole world.
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." Revelation 12:9

Why do you think this world is in the shape it's in? Only those who have gotten the victory over satan, by confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, have had their eyes opened to the truth. Those who have not confessed Jesus Christ as Lord are still in the devils trap and are sadly being led to the lake of fire with him. And that is where they will go if they continue to refuse to repent by the time God requires their soul. How tragic. But thats why God gave us free will. You either believe God or you don't. You either love truth or you love lies. Have it your way. God bless.

God clearly spells it out over and over again that the wicked far outnumber the righteous. People love the passing pleasures of sin sadly. But it's nothing to be comapered to the glory which shall be revealed. Sadly though, people want gratification now and the world, the flesh, and the devil will satisfy temporarily; but only God can satisfy eternally! Here is an example in the scriptures of what judgment day will look like.

"I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened." Daniel 7:9-10

As you can see God clearly makes a distinction. "Thousand thousands miniseterd unto him" (the righteous) while, "Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him" (the wicked).

Jesus christ said it best in Matthew 7:13-14

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

The contrast is stark my friend. Billions upon billions upon billions of soul will be cast alive into the lake of fire on the last day. Why? Because they believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. So the day is coming when we all will have to pay the piper. GLORY TO GOD THAT I HAVE ACCEPTED HIS PAYMENT PLAN ON MY BEHALF!

Yeah, it's a sad story that billions have to go to hell because they didn't read the right holy book.

This isn't a topic you want to get into with me. I won't be converting and my stance on religion holds true. Whether you believe in worshiping God or a turtle, that matters not to me. As long as you are trying to do what is right for the good of man then I'm fine with it.

I'm just a messenger my friend. God is the one who does the converting. But how shall ye believe, unless ye hear? I will leave the rest up to the Father. If you are His, you will come. If not, well...........

"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:44

Romans 1 says otherwise. And no it's not a sad story because the wicked will never be rememberd by the righteous in eternity. The wickeds memory will erased and accuresed. They only will have remeberance of their former manner of life, while they rot in hell forever and ever. While the righteous will be with God in eternal bliss, peace, and love forever and ever and ever.

And if I condemned to a harsher fate than the rest despite living a morally good life on this Earth then I guess that fate has already been decided. I find it hard to believe that God is a forgiving God if he is not an understanding one.

God is understanding, thats why He demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ was sent by Him to die for us. God, the creator, came to die for His creation. It's incomprehensible, inconceiveable, and unimaginable! He didn't have to do what He did. But God is love. Why does He love us? I don't know. But I thank God that He does. Because if He didn't we would all be doomed.

If God is understanding then why doesn't he understand that I can live a good life, pretty much following the "rules" he has implemented into his Word, without committing my life to him?

Because you are still a sinner who has not confessed your need for a savior. And your good is like filthy rags in the sight of a holy, just, and perfect God. God doesn't accept imperfection, He is holy. That is why mankinds only hope is through the sinless life of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

If God doesn't accept imperfection how then does he ever accept man?

Because a repentant sinner has been covered in the blood of Jesus Christ. For without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin. Thus, the believer has been washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. So when the believer stands before God, God no longer sees that persons sin, but sees the perfection of Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life; No man will come to the father but through Him.

So once Jesus has been accepted and we are seen as perfect through God's eyes are we then on the same level as Jesus?

Yes, God sees Christ in us the moment we accept Him as Lord and Savior. Thats why believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit the moment that we accept Jesus Christ as our savior. But nobody is perfect in this life. We are all still sinners and we all still fall short of the glory of God. But paul but it best in this passage of scipture.

"12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 16Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing." Philippians 3:12-16

How can he so easily forget the things that were previously going to condemn us to hell just by us accepting him as the Lord and Savior? Seems like the jealousy is highly strong in some one to follow a path such as that. As long as you proclaim I am the greatest and I am in control then you will not have to suffer any punishment no matter what you did.

Because the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses the soul of all sin.

"11For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11

This is the way God deals with His creation. The blood of Jesus Christ is holy. He gave His life to redeem us, thus those who by faith accept it, have been forgiven of all their sins.

"11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust." Psalm 103:11-14

Those who reject Christ are essiantly saying that His blood is not good enough to save their soul. Thats why the punishment is eternal for those who reject Jesus Christ. The wicked are saying that they know more than God and that they can save their own soul on the day of judgement. How prideful and tragic that stance is. No wonder God hates pride so much.

God is an Orwellian? Erasing history? What Bible verse is that from?

So it's a . . . happy story that ninety per cent of the population is going to hell?

"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind." Isaiah 65:17

There will be no tears in eternity for the righteous. If the righteous remembered the wicked, there would still be tears. Thats why God will create a new world after the last day. The wicked will take their lot in the lake of fire and be cut off from everything that is good. While the righteous will rejoice with the king and redeemer of our souls forever and ever, never to remember the old order of creation. HALLELUJAH TO THE KING!
