Yeah, no problem here with the Turtles. I like that they were large but still different sizes. I also like the differing personalities and look of each. I would expect Turtles raised in a New York sewer to have their own styles but still look a little worn.

Because the Fred Wolf TV series expanded the canon tenfold and created a lot of characters that became staples of the franchise including Bebop and Rocksteady and Krang.

Who all appeared in countless video games, comics and other Turtles media after the original mirage comics. Even though they were not in the original mirage run those characters have been TMNT landmarks for over 25 years. So naturally people would expect that in a movie.

Bebop and Rocksteady were gonna be in secret of the ooze but because of legal clearance issues at the time Eastman and Laird decided against it in the end and 2 original mutant characters were created.

So basically we have 3 villians, with shredder Krang, and bebop and rock steady, I'm cool with that. Hopefully they won't rush or change the origins of krang, I'm kinda worried shredder will take a backseat in this film. But these turtles are the focal point, i like how they are unique in every way instead of the cartoon series on tv now.1st film kinda dragged in the beginning and took too long to get to the good parts imo. With a new director I'm hoping they corrected that. I'm hyped to say nonetheless

80s toon - when they first saved April they attacked from the shadows

2k3 and nick toons there were plenty of times they did things on stealth

They even did it in the first movie at the dock and the saving April scene but they just too damn big
