I'm just curious fam......what more was Jay supposed to do? He put them niggas on. Beans was supposed to lead the State Prop ship. Instead this nigga kept goin to jail. This shit is a business as well.

Yep...was Bean's fault. I got love for Beans & them though. They put on for my city, just wished they kept it going.

Maybe if Hov never took Chris' swag, he might have a career

t/s went wrong when he said State Prop was better than Dipset.
This has and never will be true.
State Prop was just good for the movies but their albums sucked and as solo artist them niggas garbage/average at best.
Juelz and Cam as solo artist are better than the whole State Prop.
Diplomatic Immunity>>>Any State Prop album

Beans depended too heavily on a nigga who didnt give a fuck about him & so did the rest of state prop.... cam & the set prevailed b/c they were self-sufficient and only trusted Dame (but never did u hear of Dame owning too much of their businesses - their cologne line, sizzurp, clothing & belt line, mixtapes & the masters for them, etc. was all Dipset projects not Dame's or Jay's), they created a lane where niggas could go "aye son u hear bout them harlem niggas who rock pink & drive fancy cars, i heard they down w/ the roc that true?" whereas Beans' response was more like "oh theres that nigga under Jay-Z".

It hurts me too to see how Hov did dude tho.... Beans was/is AMAZING , every one of his albums were amazing (The B.Coming was my favorite) he should have been the franchise player.

Beans was not a franchise player, why niggas don't get this is beyond me, to me the mf maximized his potential as far as critical acclaim and sales. Dude was never gonna sell like Kanye or Jay because he wasn't that charismatic, Beans wasn't no franchise player, he was more of a Charles Oakley, Horace Grant, etc type, an enforcer.

Diplomats weren't better lyricists than State Property. I've listened to both for a long time. Was a Dipset stan growing up, startin going back to old State Prop a few years ago. If you go back to read, I said "better spitters". Not "artists"...

niggas couldnt even spit.
Dudes were like the CTE of Philly.
Couldnt spit for shit but had the steets.
Dipset has always had spitters except maybe Jones.
He should have been in State Prop
What THe Games Been Missing>>>Beans and Freeway career
Dipsets mixtapes>>>State Prop group and solo efforts

YG Tough Love - Neef kept it extra real...."Do it for who, I do it for you.....lets be real ole boy, they not our crew....and if we really talkin facts, its just us 2".

YG North of Death - Chris came with it.

What THe Games Been Missing>>>Beans and Freeway career

Ratings as Lyricists (e.g. just their lyrical ability)

General consensus - Alot of substance, couldn't transfer over to mainstream

Beanie - 5 out of 5. One of the best introspective rappers to spit.

Young Chris - 4.5 out of 5. Would've blew in the 90s.

Oschino - 4 out of 5. Very underrated. Held it down with Beans alot.

Freeway - 4 out of 5. Great lyricist, but some are put off by his flow.

Neef - 3.5 out 5. Not bad, not great.

Peedi - 3.5 out of 5. Not bad, not great.

Sparks - 2.5 out of 5. Too sporadic, not consistent.

General consensus - Too much style/flavor, not that much substance.

Hell Rell - 5 out of 5. Pound for pound the best spitter in Dipset. Got hate for some reason.

Cam - 4 out of 5. Sometimes that loopty ooopty shit gets annoying. Dope when he wanna be.

Juelz - 4 out of 5. Style over substance. Can be great when he puts his mind to it.

JR Writer - 3.5 out of 5. Could've been great, too much punchlines.

40 Cal - 3 out 5. Punchline rapper, no sincerity in his music.

Jimmy - 2 out 5. Says some good shit sometimes.

Freekey - 1 out 5. Should've never tried rapping.

Bezel - Never heard much of dude.

Too many weak links in Dipset....almost no weaklinks in State Prop.

Spot on, but i cant agree with Hell Rell being a 5/5 and also Camron would of only been a 4/5 in the early part of his career, when he was dropping songs like Sports Drugs and Entertainment, Juelz is very inconsistent as well.

Opinion....bruh...Opinion.

And Hell Rell was the best lyricist in The Diplomats. For some reason, he was just never taken seriously. You acting like I aint heard 9 years of Diplomats music. Fuck outta here lol....Dipset had that swag harlem uptown flavor shit. State Prop had that deep, introspective, soulful thug shit.

it wasnt all Beanies fault that they didnt blow up, too many hot headed niggas in state prop. it was like they all wanted to be king.it was bound to fail.

fuck talent and who had better style,Dipset got more exposure because they played their parts.

Cam was the leader and they all knew it

jimmy knew he would be the capo and juelz was the young soldier,Rell, Zeekey and 40 cal knew they were sub members of the crew

everyone one in state prop was lookin to be the leader under Jayz but none of them had the influence to make the others follow

at least Dipset made their own lane and wernt too focused on being under Jay.

Hell Rell & Camron....Rell got him

Rell always sounded better to me. Just didn't have the star power/charisma like Cam or Juelz.

Cam, Jones, and Juelz had everything State Prop lacked.
Hell Rell was decent but on Dip Imm niggas was checking for Juelz and Cam.
Hell Rell had sick punchlines but so did 40 and JR.
When it come to making an album worth the purchase only Cam, Santana, and Jones came through.
State Prop wasnt even deep and neither was Dipset. The deepest person on ROC ever was Kanye.
Bottom line, State Prop was the weaker of the two groups

also, Rell did get Juelz on that song.
Still dont make him better

Never said he was the best artist man...I made that distinction very, very clearly. Said he was the better lyricist.

State Prop had better spitters. Dont matter how you spin it.

Beanie, Free, Chris, Neef & Oschino vs Cam, Jimmy, L'z, Rell, JR. Im taking State Prop. Back in the day....Beanie could body the whole Dipset by himself if he wanted to.

Beanie couldnt body anyone,
Dude has never been better than Cam.
Probly was better than Santana at one point but Dip Imm time, no.
Like i said earlier, State Prop had average spitters at best.
Cam and Juelz made Dipset stand out
