Beans Dropped the ball with State Property & Getting Philadelphia on...

I think the team As a whole squandered the opportunity although many of them are limited in terms of personality. Beans and Chris are the strong points in terms of talent. Chris should be a star Imo. He's so hip hop. Made some good music in the past 4 years (never die, promised land, etc.). More than anything I'm kinda disappointed that more people aren't receptive to Chris.

Beans is respected by other rappers ,is known for his lyrical abilities but isnt doing shit to promote himself

i thought after he became a free agent that labels would be fighting to sign him ...

From an indie point of view,he doesnt seem to know how to manage his career

Its been a few years since SP got off the ROC but none of them managed to produce something worth mentioning,no buzz,no noise

That purse snatcher actually helped them get back in the news but thats it

What went wrong ?

i dont know

Cam, Jones, and Juelz had everything State Prop lacked.
Hell Rell was decent but on Dip Imm niggas was checking for Juelz and Cam.
Hell Rell had sick punchlines but so did 40 and JR.
When it come to making an album worth the purchase only Cam, Santana, and Jones came through.
State Prop wasnt even deep and neither was Dipset. The deepest person on ROC ever was Kanye.
Bottom line, State Prop was the weaker of the two groups

also, Rell did get Juelz on that song.
Still dont make him better
i wasn't gonna say shit, but this lil'nigga just said kanye is deeper than beans. . . first i lol, then i smfh, gtfoh!

Sigel wasnt a good general.

You're right tho. Everybody in that group other than Free and Chris couldnt stay outta jail long enough to make that situation work.

Beans chose to break up SP. He was in jail when the ROC break up went down so he couldnt get everybody on the same page. Dame took Beans album (The B. Coming) w/ him to DDMG while The YG's, Free, etc. went w/ Jay. He said nobody except 1 of them SP niggas came to see him in jail (Oschino I think) & he told him to tell the rest of em there was no SP until he came home to see what was up. Unfortunately Beans was in & outta jail several times after that & it was a wrap for SP.

lets not forget that there is a certain New York bias attached to any half decent act that comes out the boroughs.
Anything that comes out of NY gets more media attention whether good or bad whether the coverage is positive or negative
Hip hop dances were coming out of every region of the country including their own songs but its "Chicken Noodle Soup" and "harlem shake" that get specials on mtv or 106 & Park on the 'origin of the dance' etc..they get the roundtable discussion about "The History of Dance in Hip Hop" and how it all started in NY blah blah accompanied with it
2003-2006 any half decent punchline mixtape rapper from NY was forced upon us and had the hot97 exposure and discussions about why ___ (jae millz;hell rell;papoose; murda mook list goes on) isnt gettin shine while "the south is takin over" other rappers didnt get that same attention unless they were cream of the crop..not a knock but this shouldnt be ignored...so it only makes sense that a group of flashy harlem rappers enjoyed a little more staying power than some rough around the edges rappers from Philly. add that with their style of "music" being more accessible and appealing to the 'rockstar' 'swag' movements and it becomes a little clearer

this isnt NY hate just a recall of facts
