beans wasnt capable of being a leader like that. he could rap his ass off and he had a good crew with him, but he lacks leadership and business skills. but more importantly, dude is a drug addict who cares/cared more about getting high than putting his city on.

Difference between Beans and Cam is, Cam has more business savy and common fucking sense. You didn't see Cam running in and out of jail, fighting niggas in the street or waiting on Jay for shit, dude ran with his opportunity.

...And Cam did it with lesser talent.

Beans depended too heavily on a nigga who didnt give a fuck about him & so did the rest of state prop.... cam & the set prevailed b/c they were self-sufficient and only trusted Dame (but never did u hear of Dame owning too much of their businesses - their cologne line, sizzurp, clothing & belt line, mixtapes & the masters for them, etc. was all Dipset projects not Dame's or Jay's), they created a lane where niggas could go "aye son u hear bout them harlem niggas who rock pink & drive fancy cars, i heard they down w/ the roc that true?" whereas Beans' response was more like "oh theres that nigga under Jay-Z".

It hurts me too to see how Hov did dude tho.... Beans was/is AMAZING , every one of his albums were amazing (The B.Coming was my favorite) he should have been the franchise player.

Cosign...State Prop & Dipset were like night & day with their business structure. State Prop could've had the city blowin for years, it makes no sense that Philly dont get the same respect as say, Brooklyn, L.A., ATL, Harlem or Chicago. Aint nothin but spittas here.

And that's the bottom line. First Post Thread Killa....lol. Beans had all the talent but lacked alot of shit...that street mentality was a double edged sword for that nigga.

It still amazes me that there are niggas who still blame Jay for B.Sig's fuck ups......."Beans I aint tryin' to change u, just give u some game, to make the transition from the street to the fame" That nigga clearly didn't listen to that line. Hell yeah he dropped the ball. The blueprint was laid for this nigga, all he had to do was watch and observe. Some niggas just can't handle fame and the shit that comes with it.

Before niggas disagree consider this....

1. State Property & Diplomats were both subgroups of Rocafella. One a rep for Harlem, the other for Philly.

2. Beans & State Property got more attention from Jay-Z than Dipset did.

3. Beans & State Property were way better spitters than Camron & Dipset.

4. Beans & State Property had a lil momentum with those movies.

5. At the time (2001-03) of Rocafella's Peak....State Property was arguably hotter than Dipset. Depends on the individual (Beanie, Freeway, State Prop 1 & 2 & Chris & Neef's albums vs Camron, Juelz & Diplomatic Immunity 1 albums).

Yet almost 10 years later...State Prop broke up, Philly done moved back to the background of Hip Hop while Dipset is still together, lasted alot longer & Harlem is still relatively relevant in Hip Hop.

What the fuck happened?

JAY BROKE THE GROUP UP BECAUSE HE WAS MAD DAME MADE CAM THE PRESIDENT OF ROC. IT WENT DOWNHILL AFTER THAT AND BEANS GOT LOCKED UP, NIGGAS IN STATE P WASNT GRINDING LIKE THE DIPSET WAS WITH BEANS BEIN LOCKED UP.

jUELZ- TWO MORE FOR CAM TAKING OVER THE ROC

State Property and Dipset birthed Lil Wayne's adult swagger !,a lot of rappers around that time were trying to rhyme like State P and yes Beans did drop the ball. Trying to rap and be a kingpin SMH

LOL....man get real. I'd say 2001 to the first half of 2003, State Prop was hotter. The rest of 2003 to 2004, shit was equal. From 2004 to now.....Dipset.

You gotta remember back then, Cam was the only one really spittin. Juelz was just gettin established. They hadn't dropped Diplomatic Immunity yet, Jimmy wasn't rappin yet, JR Writer, Hell Rell & 40 Cal & Bezel wasn't droppin yet. It was just Cam & Juelz vs Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Oschino & Sparks, Peedi Crack, Chris & Neef.

On the east coast, State Property was a religion to street niggas. Funny forgotten trivia, alot of hood niggas thought Dipset was too flashy/funny style early on.
