This is a stand alone adaptation. They have the TAS cast because they want to be cute with it and capitalize off people's nostalgia. It has 0 to do with that show but a lot of the animators, writers and producers from that series are working on it so naturally it would be similar from a visual standpoint. Cause Bruce Timm and his team already have a signature art style. Even his last major project Justice League: Gods and Monsters exploited it.
