Never seen so many people question the effectiveness of voting.

To get the most out of our democracy you have to do more than vote.

Not voting for Cain. He has no experience in government.

Surely you jest? There isn't STILL oppression in the U.S? You complain about the Hip hop culture yet you are here everyday and have been for years!?! I work in advertising. I have seen with my own eyes the racism in American society perpetuated through this field and therefore into the American psyche. I have seen clients pull people of color out of shots because they didn't want to attract the "wrong" crowds to their establishments. I had a client actually replace a black dude in a shot because he was giving a massage to a white woman. No other race in the U.S has had Cointellpro attacked them when they tried to improve their lives or flood their neighborhoods with cocaine to help the government fund wars.

Get outta here with that madness.

These statements are nonsensical. Take for example the Enron situation that occurred years ago. The people involved got rich by purposefully plunging California into an energy crisis. It's not an ether because it is untrue. The people protesting a mostly composed of a generation of people disaffected and disillusioned by the american dream. These are college kids or graduates who did all the right things only to find out that MNC's Ceo, and politicians bartered away the financial security of Americans.

You can certainly blame the rich when a student goes 10k-20k in debt to get an education only to find the job market offers jobs that are only worth half as much. You can blame MNC's and politicians who agreed to export American jobs but cash in on capital gains therefore exporting the jobs that sustain the middle class.

Politicians are at fault when they cater to the needs of the lobbyists and corporations instead of seeing to the needs of constituents which they are constitutionally obligated to do.

Politicians are at fault for treating education like a commodity instead of a universal right within a so called first world country.

People are at fault for not waking up sooner and calling these elected officials to the carpet. For falling in love with rhetoric instead of action.

co-sign. The only reason Obama was elected is the further the lie and illusion that america is a nation shifting toward an era of fairness and justice. Obama would not have gotten in unless he was willing to cut the same deals as the other 43 presidents before him. He is as beholden to corporate interests both foreign and domestic as bush an anyone else.

Why do you think American gvt has not so much as even offered an apology for the horrific crime of chattel slavery?

An apology should be issued to the Black community as a whole.
