As black America, we must do whatever we can to get Herman Cain elected.

What happens to Black Owned businesses in the Hood?

How are the class rooms becoming crowded?

Who's pissing in the sub - standered housing?

was the housing built sub - standered? Cause I've been in Homes and apartments that was meant for lower income people when they where first built and I've been back years later and it's a big difference.

oh. and if a person walks into a grocery store and buys nothing but sub-standard food from the sub-standered section then there's a problem with that person! The government is not handing out food to people just money to go anywhere you want and buy food.

TV is not just teaching Black children! as a matter of fact there are more shows on television aimed at the white youth that seems is meant to dumb they ass down. from Teen Mom, Jersey shore, The Real World, Jackass, Tosh 2.0 etc etc................

Stop with the victim shit in 2011 dude.

you don't have to live in poverty. Do you? why? what did you do? Why are all the pitfalls you describe seem not to apply to you? Will you forever remain poor? If you have kids will they suffer the same fate as you describe for Blacks in America? why or why not?

I'm not preaching victim hood. I'm teaching about how the system is set up to trap Black people specifically. America as a government and its financial institutions made progress and became a top power in the world by exploiting free labor. People both Black and White and everything in between seem mistakenly believe that this changed with the end of (private) chattel slavery and the introduction of labor laws, it has not. Besides the Tulsa Race Riots and Rosewood Murders, there have been numerous attempts to raze any foundation of Black self sufficiency and independence. In the 1970s there was CoIntel Pro designed to specifically thwart the efforts of the Black Panthers and any would be Black activists. After school desegregation began, cities began implementing stricter districting laws concerning housing and school funding. Public Schools nation wide are funded by property taxes. The higher the property tax rate the more resources a school has, coincidentally higher tax rates are usually connected with more affluent (white)neighborhoods. Iran-Contra scandal exposed the governments use of cocaine and other illegal substances as a black market economy to secretly fund wars. Studies have also been done to show that top ranked government officials purposefully flood Black communities with these drugs to subvert any efforts and to keep Black communities from financially establishing themselves and to manufacture a global view of Blacks being animalistic, barbarous, and lazy

Why is this so? Why would a government target a specific group of people? Historically, the American government has always targeted groups of people for various gains. However, Blacks specifically serve the purpose of providing a cheap source of labor. Prison offers a cheap source of labor. The government along with corporations plan (which has been succeeding very well) is to limit the choices of the majority of Black people. Limit education opportunities, program their minds through TV. (Television is a transmitter, it communicates ideas, studies have shown that when an individual watches television their brains switch to being a receiver. They take these ideas and in some way they become influential in decision making). You do this and you can guarantee that a population will be as an ox led by a nose ring.

I have worked with too many kids, ignorant of any history of where they come from fall into this trap. They don't know why they do the things they do. They feel a general sense of malaise and apathy towards anything. They want something but do not know what. This is your average kid. However if you have some athletic ability, there are plenty of people willing to invest in that child because dollar signs are written all over them. If they have brains then they might get lucky and test into a magnet school, and that's if behavior problems aren't an issue; they usually are though.

Black kids when not watching a sport are listening to music videos. So while you claim that most TV shows are geared towards white, rap videos are mostly geared towards Black kids and they watch, listen, download all day long. I've taught kids from ages 5-15 and they are obsessed with the rap lifestyle. Behavior in school has a direct correlation to rappers flaunting that wildin' out or mobbing philosophy. It's not to say that white america is not targeted because they are, but the effects are far more disastrous for the Black community.

I escaped because I had brains and athletic talent. I had people in my life who taught me the game. Parents, relatives, older men showed me what has happened and what could happen to me. Most kids don't have enough people in their life telling them this. My friends that I grew up with were not so lucky, even the ones that went to private schools. Victimhood includes an abdication of responsibility in regards to Black people. Blacks did not cause the situation, but you cannot expect the man who enslaved you to free you and deliver fair treatment. Black people are responsible because they have not demanded more. Have begged for a seat at the table only to be fed scraps.

This is because government officials working in conjunction with corporations and lobbyists know that in order to better control where people go you simply control the resources available to them. You want to funnel people to prison? There's a blueprint for how to do it, America invented it. Number 1 democracy in the world has the world's largest prison population. You see anything conflicting about those statements?

As my man said over ten years ago: I can only show you the door, you have to walk through.

WOW - Talk about perpetuating this issue.....brother you got that number dialed in. Why don't you do us a big favor and counter the points in this article

http://www.akdart.com/aff3.html

this snippet from the article above

Never-Ending Racial Hostility. This, as compared to the nation I saw in the 1950s, is not a racist country. The time has come to stop being intimidated by racial rhetoric and guilt for the past. The generations upon whose shoulders the guilt rests have since passed into the mists of history. Those alive today, black and white, are the ones who made the enormous advances in civil rights possible. It is a matter of immense pride and accomplishment. Do not allow others to take it away from you.

I can't even take you seriously, didn't I tell you not to post anymore. The document you posted offers nothing. It's rhetoric, some guy opining his thoughts on the Black community. I won't speculate whether he is Black or White because it doesn't matter. BTW I graduated from the University of Illinois studying History, Political Science, Psychology, and Education, African and Latin American Studies. Besides my naturalistic observation, I have academic artifacts to show what I know. What did you study? What did you live? That's just to let you know you messed up. If you going to produce documents they better be something other than some guy giving opinions on a website. You are a jokester. So throw your step and fetch it routine somewhere else.

^^^^^^^^^^So it's not a trap then. You and others you know wasn't trapped. Plus as you said some of your friends that was given better opportunities fell for this "trap" too.

How Is the system designed specifically for black people to fail?

Just because a trap doesn't have a 100% failure rate does not make it any less of a trap. You have those that get out because of athletic, or you're real intelligent. If you are average or have behavioral problems and you're Black no one wants to mess with you. The system is designed to catch a majority of Black people. One black male may not get caught up in the system but 5 more do. If I'm a trap hunter after rabbit. If I can set a trap and catch 6/10 or even 4/10 rabbits, that is a successful trap. Even if I don't catch those particular rabbits, if I keep trap hunting long enough I can catch their offspring. Prison system may not have got me, but it got three other guys next to me. If I'm not watchful, the same trap I escaped my kid can fall into.

The trap doesn't need a 100% success rate in order to function. It only needs to catch enough to propagate and continue the cycle. I've seen it too often to be told different, even more so now with this younger generation.

So it's a volunteer trap?

Tell me, what are the steps one must take to be caught in this trap?

Can't be volunteer. I'm sure if anyone had a choice they wouldn't volunteer to be born Black, nor born Black, poor and in the hood. It's like running an obstacle course blind folded. Young Black kids make choices, ignorant choices early in their life that carves out their path for them. It's a trap for the young that sets them on a particular course in life.

How can you play a game fairly when you don't know all the rules?

Can you read if you've never been taught?

Is it possible to walk through fire without being burned?

So Black kids are making the SAME CHOICES that other Black People before them have failed at over and over and over again? And they make these choices unknowing the success rate?

Hmmmmm.

And the government can fix this how?

You misunderstand everything I have said. The government cannot fix a problem, will not fix a problem that benefits them. That is where the Civil Rights Project failed. Leaders of the SLC and various other organizations believed that correction and justice could be sought on a federal level being the federal level was where it was originally provided. Civil Rights activists failed to see the duplicity in federal officials. In fact before the passage of the Civil Rights Amendments, Blacks were much more self sufficient in the Northern cities as well as the southern towns.

Since then Black innovation has been limited to fields of entertainment (music and sports). The only thing I ever said is that the government owes the Black community an apology for the things they have done and are doing. The only way thing that the government can do for Black people is to stop. Black people have to be responsible for gaining their own freedom.

Lol. How about a national I'm sorry day
well, i was thinking of things that have happened

@janklow: no it wouldn't count if the congress only put it to a vote. An apology needs to be given by the leader of this country, not a senator, representative, judge, or office clerk.
well, not just put to a vote, but passed. it would probably take more effort than a president apologizing for it.

You are right. YOU cannot tell me anything. I've lived in Bankhead, Mechanicsville, and the Southside of Chicago, I've worked on the westside. There is plenty of money to be made in these areas, but Black people are not the ones making it. In all of these communities I have witnessed the economic exploitation of Black people. A communities's economy is driven by shopping in local stores buying local goods and in turn the owners of said stores reinvest in the community through hiring local workers and/or by living in the same area redistributing the dollars spent.

Secondly, a franchise can step in and hire many local workers which will then go and spend their money in other places.

This isn't what happens though. Most local stores whether your ABC wireless, gas stations or knockoff clothing stores are owned by arabs or koreans. 1) They usually hire from within their own family so there is a minimal chance of hiring local workers 2) They do not live in the area so the dollars spent are exracted from the community.

Speaking on the problem of obesity, that is due to a thriving economy in the hood, that is testimony to the fact of poor food quality. Poor quality food is sold at an arab owned food mart to Black people, and then there are so many cheaply provided fast food chains there alone. So let's see poor economy + cheap fast food + horrible diet. If you ever have visited a more affluent neighborhood you can take note the contrasts of the environments just by what is available. You may see a Wendy's or a Burger King, but you will also see Deli's that offer a balance, a choice. I know this because I've also been to BuckHead, Bronzeville, Hyde Park, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park; there is a contrast in available food services alone.

There is a small economy driven by entrepreneurs such as daycare, or apt owners. The most common legit job in the Black Community is working minimum wage at a fast food chain or a barbershop. Your other businesses, make money, but they aren't legit selling dope and prostitution, and even still Black people running that game only make a fraction a very small fraction of that pie. There's money in the hood, but it''s being made off Black people not by them.

Prison, is simply a building. There is so little difference because people in these hoods that you prop up like some shining city on a hill re just as much prison as anyplace else. Prison limits the movement of an inmate there lives are structured around being told when to eat, sleep, piss, shower, etc. In the hood its the same way, this is where you eat-sub standard food, this is where you sleep,piss- substandard housing, and Black people are taught this through sub standard education. In schools I've taught in, the classrooms were over crowded paint is cracking off the ceiling, radiator heaters are exposed.

On TV, where the real education begins, Black children are taught who they should be by wanna be gangsters and dope boys and real trashy housewives and bad bitches. All this is controlled by a white owned media (even BET) and they control the images that you see or don't see. Kids see Ricky Ross living his life and he aint talking about he got this through education, he got it through working hard, he talkin about the dope game. child early on knows they want success and the TV the music videos, the songs are giving them a blueprint for it in their eyes. They do this not knowing half these dudes are bullshitting and the other half lived some experiences that shouldn't be repeated. In any case these kids see the dope game as the only way to generate income, and now it puts them in direct confrontation with the law. Once you get exposed to that system its easier and easier to go back. There is no real consequence because in the hood you aren't losing anything. It's so common in the hoods I've lived in or worked in that people don't travel outside of it. It's scary. I know people who won't take the train two blocks from their house to the loop in chicago. I know people in atlanta who will travel but only to another hood. So yea the hood is like a prison because once your mind is caught up your body is soon to follow.

No you can't tell me a thing because I'm not on the outside looking in. Lived it. Witnessed it. Went to school and studied it. Education is not a luxury, decent food is not a luxury. Black people should want more, do want more than to be someone else's stepping stool. Unless you can bring something equivalent to my experience to the table, don't try to debate me on it because your arms are too short.

they dont hear you tho, they still sleeping.

Housing should be much cheaper than it is now, especially in the large cities. Housing prices are going up while wages are stagnant or declining. I agree with Tavis Smiley and West when it comes to housing, we have money to build shit overseas, why not build more low income housing in the USA? There shouldnt be millions of people homeless in the "greatest" country in the world.
