The first half of Arrow was lackluster but it picked up towards the end. The fight scenes was dope and Black Canary actually looked like Black Canary (I hope they keep this going). I agree after this season flashbacks need to go unless it relates to the current story line. Is it me or the fact they showed Diggle's brother being alive in the preview last week took alot away from this episode? I need to see a Damian vs Merlyn soon.

Show isn't really giving me anything to look forward to at the moment. Damien Dark is a threat, but he hasn't really been that threatening. Hope that picks up the second half of the season.

Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen/the Green Arrow, had high praise for the first-time "Arrow" director.

"The stunt sequences in James' episode are the most graphic, well-choreographed, superbly shot and put-together sequences that we have ever done on the show," Stephen said on set. "Aside from all that, which seemed like it was a given, he was an incredible director. He was prepared without being rigid, he gave excellent notes, he had a nice command of the crew and I hope that he does dozens more."
