Nah they not lost, this is what they grew up on so this is what they know. I can't expect them to know what I know because I came up in a different era

they shouldn't be lost. they have one advantage that we (i'm 24) didn't have. The INTERNET. they can literally listen to any song from any period of time. no excuses kids. do your homework

The masses are ALWAYS lost.

"Give 'em a bunch of lies and teach 'em that it's REAL..

So that's all that they a-know, that's all that they a-feel..."

i think the music line got blurred and that what lead to this nonsense.

think about it....

it was certain music for the radio,

certain music for the strip clubs,

certain music for the streets

and certain music for the kids.

everybody had there preference and choice.

listen to the radio now....there is no clear definition of any of them. they are all the same.

The only way I could say they may be lost is that they don't care about past things, like when I was growing up I appreciated the music before and the current stuff I was listening too. They think everything before what they know is wack and don't care. But I've always been a fan of music so I listened to other things as well

the thing is they dont know anything about hip hop

they dont understand the importance of somethung like Interscope or Universal.

when i was telling older people Illmatic is ok to average, i had it on my phobe and computer so i hd listened to it quite a few times.

kids these days say a rapper(example Wayne or 2 Chainz) are the best MCs and aint heard The Carter or The Block is Hot.Didnt know 2 Chainz was in Playas Circle.

They're lost cuz they're uninformed and dont care to do the research

This forum is guilty of the same treachery.

You people say that Canibus sucks, Vinnie Paz sucks, a hatred towards real Hip Hop, the only thing you get right is that Nas is good. Thank God.

i wont judge arapper unless i hear enough material from them(5 songs min) or an album

kids will hear one song and swear someone is the greatest rapper ever

Hip Hop is & always have been the voice of the youth. Yo old ass needs to get a grip & realize your time has past. These kids arent stupid. They're actually smarter than previous generation imo. They know how hip hop USED to be & they respect it. What yall fail to realize is they're doing their own thing.
Crackbabies alert.

No my Nephew who is 11 knows Juicy and Dear MaNa by heart and no one put him on he found it himself. But he also liles lil Wayne because that's who wayne appeals to. Ppl who don't want to reflect or think just DO and usually that's drunk/high ppl and Kids. They will grow out of Wayne tho

Rapping about pyramids without putting effort into make good MUSIC, is just as bad as the average trap rapper.

All this strip club music is making a generation of tricks n gassed up chicks. They were raised on Lil Jon LMAO. Boom bap is dead cause the sound refused to evolve, the rappers still stuck on stagnant shit, and hoes have more power than rappers in social standards. Look how the cats hated on Lu for making that album of his.

thing is.....new is new and the old heads are ok with that.....

when our shit was new the ol heads said it was garbage...that was ok...we never said they music was shit or they was passed their prime or whatever cuz good music was good music. our music was ours, so we took the criticism and kept it moving..

these new niggas cant take criticism. you tell them you dont like they music an they get all heart broken and want to call people old and pass they prime. they too feminine on the inside and dont like to be disagreed with.

thats the problem.....learn to take shit on the chin an keep moving....this is a generation of more niggas getting bullied or feeling bullied then i have ever seen in history but always trying to be tough.

i hear kids saying shit like...

1. Jay Z sucks

2. A song only goes hard if it has Lil Wayne/2 Chainz

3. Nas sucks

more shit to be added later on

Of COURSE they're lost. That's why they buy into the Lil wayne line "The best rapper alive"

They honestly believe he's the best rapper alive.
