I only goated the first pic for the African DNA.

@Ajackson17

Are you guys regular African American or from the Caribbean?

Regular??? lol joking

I'm African American my family is from South Carolina, Geechee folk on my patriarchal side.

I asked because 10% European is ridiculously low for a "regular" African American. It's usually in the mid to upper 20s range.

This makes me hopeful.

I won't lie, I am becoming less confident that will have little to no European DNA due to the new revelations of my grandfather not being my grandfather along with finding out that my grandmother isn't African and is indigenous native American.

With all of these new findings I feel like I will actually be 80 to 75% African, 15 to 20% native american/Asian, and 5 percent CAC

There are light skin people who are over 80% African, there are dark skin people who are 60% African. Phenotype and genotype don't mean nothing.

Besides humanity is a mixed multitude of different hominids(Archaic humans)

I say over 20% for AA because of the slave trade and rapist slave owners. If you look up results videos on YouTube for "regular" African Americans, their euro are usually in the 20% range.

average means the mean between the lowest extreme and the highest extreme. it doesn't mean that everyone is in that range it means that there are folks above that range and below that.

It is for African Americans. Not saying it's impossible. It's just not the average.

I follow both, he just dropped it.

Here to provide an update.

So yesterday I decided to dig deep into my ancestry by interrogating my parents and ended up finding my PATERNAL grandfather's birth certificate online and possibly my great grandfather's birth certificate as well (need more confirmation on that one). I still have no clue who my maternal grandfather is and I'm this close to interrogating my grandmother.. law and order style lol. All I need is a name. God forbid she doesn't even know his name.

My parents have been in Honduras for the past month and are getting as much information as they can from my great grandmother and paternal grandmother. They told me that my paternal great great grandmother is from AFRICA and are working to find out which country. They only know her name...which is quite interesting. They will be visiting my great grandmother today (who is 103 by the way) and will bring back pictures and whatever else they can.

Regarding my DNA test kit, I already sent in the replacement kit since the first one was a fail and it is currently in line to be processed.

I'm hoping to be matched to someone from my maternal grandfather's family (which would be a miracle since they would have to have come to the US AND take the ancestry DNA test as well) but I'm still crossing my fingers on that.

I also plan to help my mom facilitate the DNA testing of her and a boy which she believes is the son of her biological father's brother. She is basing this off of a "connection" she says that she feels with him and his family and he often refers to her as his aunt.

Just wanted to let yall know that if you want to try

AncestryDNA, now is a perfect time.

It is on sale till Tuesday for $79 with the free shipping promo code FREESHIPDNA!

Also I found out my biological grandfather's name after interrogating my abuela. But my mom still think she is lying and my mom thinks another man is her father.

I'm not paying to find out my ancestry especially since its inaccurate and only traces back a couple hundred years when I'm really a descendant of the Ysraelites.

Might be a gringo that's why they are keeping it from you, or they might not know exactly who the father is
