I'd like to know what you think of grace salvants poem titled "William" ,she basically is attracted to this white dude who comes into her place at work and feels betrayed by her melanin (her words) , she's a pro black poet or so she claims , if you have a chance to read or watch the video and review the comments I'd like your opinion as well as others on the topic

My opinion is that there needs to be an understanding of black, if we use the white supremacists idea that anyone with one drop of African DNA is black, then we support white supremacy because it was used as a way to keep resources amongst other things purely European , but if we aren't using the white supremacy rule , what do we use?? I have a couple of ideas that don't amount to much , but as far as interracial dating, I don't consider every black my black, so anybody can date anybody, but I'd disown a family member probably if it happened in my family , only because I've been taught that we owe our lives to our family who came before us as they sacrificed almost everything for our family to continue in its original image , but what do y'all think about it, if y'all think about it?

You cannot be pro-black beforehand and race mix. Grace is confused. The ultimate expression of loving your ethnic group and the race that it is attached to is making a family within that group.

1. you have to a certain amount of african dna, you have to have a phenotype that falls within the spectrum of the black race

2.you have to think of your self as black and identify with the black race

3 you have to be socially accepted as being black

Your loyalty should be to your family but your family could not survive without your race/ethnic group . WE STAND ON the shoulders of our ancestors to just say fuck it and jump the fence to mate with the descendants of their opponents is a disgrace.

I think it depends on one's definition of what it means to be pro-black.

Some would say it means being a black supremacist... So others may say it simply means being proud of your race.

I shy away from saying that I am pro-black on this site mainly because many folks on here see being pro-black as being a black supremacist. I just say that I am PROUD of being black. That's something that nobody can take away from me or scrutinize because being proud of something has little to no "rules". You just ARE.

All you need is two of the 3 . You can move to a nation where everybody is tar black and the people there will consider you as not being black. But that would only be a local view. My view is more pan-african and takes a wider look at what it means to be black across the whole planet and i have concluded that you need at least 2 of the 3.
