Am I wrong to think that KRIT will have a better career than Kendrick in the long term?

Its been looking good for him so far this year recognition from nas, week of krit ,etc so this could be his year

That was the basis of this topic. I was listening to Week of KRIT and it kinda hit me that dude can do stuff like Lac Lac his entire career and nobody would complain.

Maybe we won't sell Eminem records but he can easily pull off a Curren$y-esque career.

Nope, if he not popping in the same mainstream market as Kendrick he doesn't stand a chance. He'll be an underground legend

I don't know because while they're both about equal to me in terms of quality of rappers, admittedly Kendrick has a more natural commercial appeal to him. Krit going to be the type to fuck around and accidentally get a huge hit song like he did with Country Shit. That wasn't made to be a "hit"...it just blew up for him.

@‌

No one is selling Em type records

He would have to be white to do that

Sad thing is I believe KRIT already made tracks that should have been hits. Temptation for one should have been big, it's a nice club track and all the women I played it for liked it.

I wouldn't want Krit signed to that fat fraud

Ross don't know how to promote real niggas....example Pill

I don't either but MMG is a surprisingly diverse label with most of the artists having different styles.

I do think him dropping the ball with Pill shows hes lost when he can't find a box to put you in.

I love K.R.I.T's music but he really doesn't make crossover type music. He has to make some type of song that will appeal or catch the interest of non Hip-Hop fans in order to really blow up like Kendrick did.

Hopefully he can diversify his sound a bit to help him without totally killing what makes his music so good to his core fans though. I'm rooting for the guy because he is hella talented and he tries to make music with a message most of the time.

Me too. I'm trying to put as many people as I can up on him.

It would be a sad day if he has to switch up in order to become successful. KRIT is pretty unfuckwitable right now as is.
