Tetsuo & Youth is 4.5 Mics and I might upgrade to classic status if I'm bumping 3 months from now

B4 DA $$ is a solid 4 mics but his lyricism is just not classic Blackmoon, Heltah Skeltah, OGC level.

I feel like people will be more critical with Lupe though and he'll get more hate. I been so busy I haven't had time to listen to either in full. Hopefully I can drop a review or 2 myself soon.

you cant take any review of that lupe album serious after its only been out less than a week ... especially with the depth of that project

Joey BadA$$ is one of my favorite new school artists. I feel like he makes hip hop the way it should be made, dope lyrics over dope beats. If you're a fan of dope lyrics and dope beats then you will love this album. There are no strip club songs on here, no songs about tricking on hoes, none of this hipster weirdo music. I went into this album cautiously optimistic I felt his previous 2 mixtapes were kind of meh. But I was very impressed, Joey showed growth as far as his subject matter, broadening his wordplay/vocabulary, all while speaking on social issues from the perspective of a 20 year old. The standout tracks are Big Dusty, Save The Children and my favorite song Run Up On Ya.

My least favorite song is Teach Me.

Letter grade A

I'm bumping both albums on shuffle and they compliment each other very well. I started my process of eliminating weak songs and the only tracks that got cut where Teach Me from Joey and Chopper from Lupe because it's just too damn long. The stand out feature is Ab Soul on Tron. He should let Lupe executive produce his next project.

Listened to Bada$$ front to back for the first time. I think I'm gonna do one for his. I haven't done a review since like 2011, a thug is rusty.

^ good looks.

I'm not sure if people are having trouble writing a review or just timid but here are some helpful tips for writing a review up....

1: Use as many adjectives as possible.

Instead of vague words like "dope," "trash," or "okay," try to describing your feelings toward the song (no feelings) in as much detail as possible. Was the hook disappointing or memorable? Was the beat tedious or catchy?

2: Don't censor yourself or hold back

Don't worry about what others may think of your review. As long as it meets the length requirements and backs up its score, it will be counted.

3: Try doing a track-by-track review for albums

It's not always easy summing up an album in a paragraph or two, so it may work better to go through each track briefly and individually before concluding your review with a closing paragraph.

4: Assign a score by using other songs as reference points.

Think of your favorite songs and least favorite songs of the year. For example: your favorites will be in the 8-10 range, and your least favorites may be in the 0-4 range. The songs that are nothing special may fall in the 4-6 range. Find a place for the song you are reviewing along that spectrum.

5: Don't worry about spelling and grammar.

Be more focused on the content of your review. And long as you explain your score and we can understand your points, you're good.

6: Have a conclusion.

Whether it's one sentence or a paragraph, it's always a good idea to wrap up your review with a summary of your thoughts. Think of your conclusion as your overall opinion about the song or album.

Feel free to add on.
