To answer the question. Without the hype you have an album that was filled with classic track after classic track.

You have 'Patiently Waiting' an all time classic collaboration feauturing the greatest white rapper of all time alongside the new up and comer that is about to shake the foundation of rap to it's core. This track didn't disappoint as you had two top rappers in their primes going at it bar for bar.

'In Da Club' is one of the greatest club hits of all time. Just put on the instrumental anywhere today and everyone will immediately start singing along to it. Phenomenal track and flawless performance by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

"Many Men" One of the greatest tracks on the album, 50 shows that he's able to tell a story with emotion and passion as he delivers a deep and personal track.
"High All The Time" classic track about smoking weed from a rapper that doesn't even smoke weed but he knows how to put a track together for weed smokers everywhere. Damn that man is one talented writer and rapper.

"If I can't" classic track of 50's in which he rhymes over an uptempo beat letting you know if it can't be done by him then it cannot be done simply because he's better than you.

"What up Gangsta" A hard track on this album that 50 lets everyone know he's the hardest rapper in NYC without any question. Only complaint about this song, it didn't have a third verse.

"Backdown" The track that ended Ja Rule's career. One of the greatest diss tracks to ever be produced in the rap game. Had a classic hook and introduction as well as outroduction. Verses were all exceptional with witty and hardhitting disses throughout. Classis song by Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson.

"Gotta Make it to Heaven" Another gangsta track by the great 50 Cent in which he brags as only he can about his realness in the game. Proving himself to be not on the realest nigga in the game but the best rapper as well as he flows effortlessly and perfectly over the banging beat.

"Heat" hard beat by Dr. Dre and some of 50's hardest lyrics on this album. This nigga proved just how ruthless he can be on a track when he wants to be. Classic track and representative of gangsta rap to it's core.

400 degreez would be a classic album to me
it didn't have the hype of 2 of rap's biggest superstars behind it
and it was largely responsible for a whole region's dominance in the game

No Limit was already dominant before that ever came out. So what region dominance was it largely responsible for?

All of them albums had 2 many skipable tracks for them to be classics off the top of the head. they were good but not classic.

Whats the maximum number of skippable tracks a album can have?? i dont think theres any rap album that doesnt have skippable tracks other than illmatic.

people only call that album a classic because of the record sales. that's all they bring up when you say something about that album. it sold off 50's beef with everybody if you ask me. many men is the only classic song on there in my opinion.

WTF? That whole shit is bitten from 50. This nigga stole 50's hook, lyrics, and just changed the lyrics around just a little bit. How the fuck do you think this is hot but act like Backdown ain't?

Are you niggas in the reason fuckin stupid? What the hell does hype have to do with making an album classic? Only thing hype does for an album is make expectations high and if those expectations aren't met then the album becomes a disappointment. The fact that 50 not only matched his hype but exceeded it is what makes it a classic.

In case you don't know, The Massacre had more hype than GRODT before dropping, how many people say it met the hype and is classic? Hype only makes it harder to make classics not easier.

Its not a classic. Niggas just hype shit up. The Documentary was better and they dont like to consider that a classic

where did the hype for the documentary come from?? oh yeah Game signed to G-UNIT and the two biggest singles on that album ahd 50 all over it. why was that a big deal? because 50 dropped a classic two years before.

BUt games 1st two albums are underrated, shits were fire, and he did kill the G-UNIT brand basically by himself. lol

You mean 50's sophomore album? It was good because 50 had to save that talentless nigga that couldn't make a hook to save his life. What did Game do? Write 3 hooks and one of them he stole from another rapper and got sued over it. 50 made this nigga then murdered him on "How We Do" and "Hate It or Love It".

most albums are considered a classic because of the good music it have. i can't really say that for a 50 cent album, it's always about hype with him because he like to talk shit when he about to drop something, and people get caught up in the hype instead of the music.

50 cent get rich or dying at the time brought a new style that now one have not heard yet and who can forget major hits such as In da Club, Many man, 21 question ,Wanksta ,P.I.M.P and If I Can't
He was amazing for the time that album is six times platinum.

no limit wasn't making the same noise that juvenile was tho
400 degreez put the south on the map
it was also responsible for the 30 million dollar deal with universal
which lead to shit like chopper city in the ghetto being re-released
