bitch mutha fucka, the song is about everything. and the message is that all he needs is one mic to talk about everything. He talks about something that everybody can relate to in that song but your slow ass cant comprehend that because "it dont bump in the trunk" now stfu before I smash your fuckin head with that book you holdin and smack that dumbass skully you wearin smooth the fuck off. u gotta be the most useless poster on this bitch.

You didnt answer a simple question

What is Nas talking about in the Song & how can everybody relate when he isnt even talking about anything relatable aside from Jesus death and shooting people?

It's a good Song probably Nas best along with New York State Of Mind

But it's not even a classic Song cos of the weak Beat & uninspired weak Hook

The lyricism is decent but there is no powerful relatable content

Decent Song but the Beat & Hook were pretty wack which kinda ruined it

But Lyrically nice one of Nas best tracks as far as him letting his emotion and message being a factor rather than just Lyricism like most his Song's

Seriously, shut the fuck up. The beat on one mic is wack to you??????????????

Stillmatic is far from a classic it's just above average

6/10

Illmatic however is Nas classic

Stillmatic is classic along wid Illmatic and Lost Tapes.

See, this how I know you don't know what soul is.

That Beat has no Soul

Dear Mama has Soul One Mic is a very bland generic sounding Beat no Jazz/Funk/Blues influences just pretty plain

this song, 2nd Childhood, What Goes around, and Every Ghetto make Stillmatic a classic. Even that trash Braveheart Party can't alter that.

One of the greatest songs ever made. You have whole package in full effect here - lyrics, passion, beat, delivery, speed of verses covering speed of beat, concept.

great song. it's not even one of nas most powerful songs to me. im just saying nas is such a nice mc he has songs that are even better than this one to me.

i thought poison was even more powerful than this concept wise. but in terms of the overall vibe of the song i don't know maybe it's the beat but it gets boring after several listens. i think if i ruled the world is more powerful than one mic. that song never gets old to me.

Good song, but not the most powerful ever. As other people stated its not even the best or most "powerful" song on the album. What Goes Around and Poison are the two that come to mind as better right now.
For those saying the song was all over the place, it sort of was, but on purpose, cause at the end of the day it doesn't matter all the chaos that is going around him, all he needs is ONE MIC! That what the song is about. That Jesus line was horrible on the song though. He died at age 33, so what does that have to do with the amount of bullets in his gun? I may have missed something there, just a minor flaw in the song.
