Adrian Peterson Indicted for Child Abuse

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will fully participate in this week’s practices and meetings and is expected to play this Sunday in New Orleans.

Today’s decision was made after significant thought, discussion and consideration. As evidenced by our decision to deactivate Adrian from yesterday’s game, this is clearly a very important issue. On Friday, we felt it was in the best interests of the organization to step back, evaluate the situation, and not rush to judgment given the seriousness of this matter. At that time, we made the decision that we felt was best for the Vikings and all parties involved.

To be clear, we take very seriously any matter that involves the welfare of a child. At this time, however, we believe this is a matter of due process and we should allow the legal system to proceed so we can come to the most effective conclusions and then determine the appropriate course of action. This is a difficult path to navigate, and our focus is on doing the right thing. Currently we believe we are at a juncture where the most appropriate next step is to allow the judicial process to move forward.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and support Adrian’s fulfillment of his legal responsibilities throughout this process.

A) this nigga was 4. 4 years olds slick nowadays but still the fuck you doin at 4 years old that deserves that type of shit. maybe a light spanking but nigga is 4.

B) what do ass whoopings really solve? does it really just delay fuck niggas from being fuck niggas till 18. i see kids i grew up with who been whooped and forced to go to church till they 16-18 years old. They still got arrested/went to jail/had 30 kids by age 25. Beating a kid in 2014 really don't do shit. Back in the day the entire community for the most part had morals. go into any neighborhood white black rich poor urban rurual etc and that's not true. And even back then people were fucked up the news just wasnt on a 24 hour cycle.

Peterson trade talk been going on since the off season. Didn't Jerry Jones and him get in trouble over a phone call already?

Report: Vikings May Look to Trade Adrian Peterson

By Vincent Frank on September 14, 2014

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post reported late Sunday evening that the Minnesota Vikings may look to trade running back Adrian Peterson should the details of his child abuse case worsen.

Hubbuch had this to say in the report.

All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson could be on the trading block if even uglier details emerge from his felony child abuse case in Houston, The Post has learned.

Peterson was charged with abusing his four-year old son on Friday and turned himself in early Saturday morning.

You can check out an entire overview of the situation right here.

Minnesota deactivated Peterson for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots and is waiting on more information to come out before taking the next step.

But the allegations are serious. And this is an off-field distraction that new head coach Mike Zimmer and Co. simply don’t need at this point.

Hubbuch continued…

Vikings principal owner Zygi Wilf also scheduled a conference call Sunday night with general manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer to go over the team’s options and next steps.

The Vikings don’t believe that the NFL is prepared to act against Peterson at this time. That could very well change during the week if more information becomes available.

As it relates to a potential trade, no team in its right mind would even think about acquiring Peterson at this point. In addition to that, the NFL would likely discourage such a deal from going down until more information comes out.

All we know right now is that Peterson was arrested on child abuse charges, released on $15,000 bond and deactivated for the Vikings second regular season game. Until more information comes out, any thought of a trade is nothing more than a pipe dream.

Pay attention to ALL this shit. Let the Vikings be stupid enough and actually trade him. The only place he'll go IS Dallas.

I don't know about the rest of you NFC East people, but I don't want that loco-motive running motherfucker in that division.

Report: Adrian Peterson accused of injuring another son in June

KHOU-TV in Houston reported Monday night that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was accused of injuring another son in June. According to the report, Peterson allegedly disciplined his son for "cussing to a sibling," resulting in an injury to the four-year-old boy's head.

The boy's mother reportedly filed a report with Texas Child Protective Services. The results of any investigation are unclear and no charges have been filed in the case. NFL Media has not yet been able to reach the Vikings or Peterson's attorney for comment.

5:05 PM PT -- Sources close to the investigation tell TMZ the reason the case went nowhere is because Adrian did NOT strike the boy in the forehead -- but instead the child accidentally hit his head on a carseat while Adrian was punishing him.

We're also told the form of discipline was "not impermissible." Under Texas law parents are allowed to administer reasonable punishment.

Kinda weird to see everybody drag Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, and the NFL's name through the mud on this shit then in the very next story talk about the highlights. If you're really for real mad at the NFL and the players, you would stop showing anything NFL related until they do something about this shit. You got espn anchors on tv crying and screaming about these stories then they go to break and come back with "What a great night for Monday a Night Football". I'm sorry but that shit is just weird.
