It's sad; as a teacher, you're told you really can't lay hands in kids for ANY reason, not even to defend yourself. That's why the unions be all on people's asses. Shit gets egregious, especially when kids KNOW you can't touch em. Nah, cuh. Fuck all that; don't just teach academics, I teach respect, too.

I only got tried once, then that lil' muhfucker got his ass launched from one side of the room to the other. Now they look at me on that Marlo shit.

These new kids would not have pulled this 25 years ago. But if you put your hands back on the kids you get in trouble and the parent will be on they way up there. Like I said before, we had Vietnam vets as teachers and we also had that respect too. Now teachers can't do shit and the women dressing like they at the club

Word to everything, we had this one teacher who literally sounded like the clear eyes dude 100% of every day, he was my social studies teacher. When I say sleep in class, bruh, the most boring shit I ever been involved with.

So one day these niggas get to fightin between classes and my teacher steps in the middle, but he in clear eyes voice mode so nobody is listenin when he asks everyone to step back, well one of these niggas tries to throw another punch and knocked his glasses off.... Bruh.

He literally took this nigga by one hand and slammed him against the lockers, the other one was already calm, and he yelled "get your asses back" like he was a drill instructor my nigga the whole hallway went silent at the slam, but we was fuckin terrified when he yelled like that. Come to find out, that was his last year, he went on assignment with one of them elite military groups or somethin. Never popped off to a teacher again my g. You just never know.

What high school u go to bruh, sounds like one of my teachers from Cathedral high.

Parents don't discipline their kids.

A whooping ain't discipline, that's punishment.

Coercion (the threat of violence or punishment) isn't the same as discipline either.

Discipline is internal. Parents don't instill in their kids that certain behaviors aren't okay.

When you teach via coercion, all you teach is that when the coercive element is gone (in this case the parents) then all bets are off.

It should come to know surprise that parents always think their kid is a perfect angel. Its because the parent is coercive and the kid responds to that.

A parent that instills discipline teaches a kid to monitor their own behavior even when the parent or any other adult isn't around. There's a proverb that says "who you are when no one is looking is who you really are." That says a lot about the failure of personal responsibility and poor parenting.

Things like this you don't record.

No one born in the 90s should still be in high school. It's 2017

your proverb is crazy on point.

my dad used to say.." at 3am in a bad hood at a red light nobody around. what you gonna do?"

the question makes you think.

for those that can't.

will you do the right thing regardless of who is around or how they may act. or will you use an excuse on why not do the right thing.

yea..but you are giving it with a goal of instilling discipline. I would assume certain parents would explain why them lashes came an help them process their actions.

I just told my wife about something I remember from back in the 7th grade, it kinds gives a contrast to how shit was back when I was a kid versus today:

White kid in my English class was acting an ass. Out teacher was a stocky ass white dude, and was know to be hard on insubordinate kids. Lil dude was fuckin up. The teacher told him to get up and stand with his nose to the blackboard. Kid refused. Teacher got up, told him again to "get your ass out of that seat and get up there to the blackboard!". Kid refused and laughed at him. The teacher then snatched him up out of his seat, dragged him to the blackboard, and told him to stand there with his nose touching the board. Kid stood there with his face to the board, but his nose wasn't touching the board. The teacher got loud and told him "put your nose on the fucking board!". Kid didn't do it so the teacher put his hand on the back of the kid's head and slammed it into the blackboard. Kid pushed away from him, there was blood pouring out of his nose profusely all over his face and his shirt.

"Fuck you, I'm tellin my dad!" and the kid ran out of the room.

Teacher didn't look worried in the least.

A few minutes later, the vice principal of the school came to the door. He looked in and asked the English teacher to step out in the hall. From my seat I could barely see, but I did see lil dude out there standing kinda behind the vice principal.

The kid was the vice principal's youngest son. I didn't know that until that very day.

They sat out there talking about it for a moment, I did hear the teacher say something along the lines of "I'm sorry about his nose but..." and they talked about it more then he came back in.

Even being the vice principal's son, the teacher remained employed. The kid was suspended for a day, and when he came back to class he had to apologize to all of us for disrupting our class.

He was never a problem in that class ever again... But he did act an ass in gym class.

^^^ He was a Korean War/Vietnam War vet. He told us a few stories in class, said shit was really fucked up in both of those wars. He left the military when Vietnam was over, came home and got his degree, and started teaching.

I had a music teacher and gym teacher when I was young both my parents told em in front of me if he act up get his ass............ I tried em a couple times and they got my ass and then would call my parents in front of me and tell them.... all I hear is I bet you won't do it no mo. All the young boys feared them too.

Wait... your parents gave multiple people permission to put hands on you? Then clowned you about it? Damn.

as a child and esp in my parents day adults whoop childrens ass from neighbors to teachers to church members.... it was a village raising a child.... ignant folk ruine that and now kids have no respect for adults or authority figures.

Boy sounded like he said the teacher called his mama a bitch.

Teacher had it coming, if true. We talk about disrespectful unruly kids but some of these adults think that becausethey in a "position of authority" they can talk to people however they like with no repercussions.

Respect go both ways.

That's worth an assault charge and potential jail time?
