It's the questions that you ask that lead to answers.
Ask yourself what is the highest law of the land?
Then ask yourself what does this law say about certain things, such as owning guns, licenses, permits, taxes.
Then ask if their are state statutes or codes that contradict with the highest form of law
Are their court cases dealing with these very issues? What was the decision?
Is your status effecting your inalienable rights?
Do you understand that certain common everyday words have a common definition which the average layman understands and a legal definition that may be totally different or not what one expects.
